Today the Danger Shop resembled the library.
"Hopefully you guys have learnt a little about what it's like to be an archaeologist, but now we come to the most dangerous and treacherous part." Aphra paused for dramatic effect. "Grant proposal writing!"
Cue the thunder and lightning. Yes. Really. "See, before you can get out there and discover what's...out there, you tend to need things like money, permits, equipment, bribes, the list goes on, and everything goes much smoother if you can sweet talk someone else into footing the bill."
Sure, Aphra tended to skip all that, but she was a trained professional rogue archaeologist. "So you're going to be writing your very own proposal today, there's a bunch of information on the tables and the computers about various potential dig sites, so work up a plan, what you need, and why they should give your dig the money instead of your classmates."
