Adventuring for Idiots, Because Clearly You Need It [Thursday, 2nd Period]

Cara led her class over the causeway again this week, but not to an inn or tavern...not least because she hadn't een able to find it. Instead they were in the town square, or what passed for one.

"Even though it's been a few days, I doubt any of you want to think too hard about the weekend, so today you're going to learn the valuable skill of not thinking about it. So go, explore, find something to distract yourselves with." She made a little shoo-ing gesture. They'd thank here when they were older and needed to repress things.

Cassandra was not so much listening as keeping a very close eye on Ada, just in case the girl got any ideas.

Ringo was actually coping with the weekend, um, okay? It hadn't been super-traumatic.

Or, rather, it had been, but most of it was all fuzzy in her head, so it didn't feel that traumatic.

She was mostly worried about her friends. It didn't seem like they had very good weekends, either.

Keep a close eye on Ada all you want, Cassandra. You were going to get bored very quickly, 'cause she was determined to give you nothing to react to. She'd said her piece, and that was that. It wasn't her fault you and Dante were like two angry donkeys in a fight; stubborn, LOUD, and unyielding.

Didn't take Ada long at all to find herself up a tree, as high as she could go, to find a stable spot to take a nap.

Her sense of balance, especially once she started getting a good vertical height, was almost uncanny; they'd be no falling out of trees half-asleep for Ada Miller. She'd worked on far too many ferris wheels.

It was very weird, being around walking, moving animals that weren't being controlled by her. Velma found herself looking for toys to buy out of habit.
