Health- Monday- 3rd period

There had been emails sent out telling the students to meet in the dorm gym today and wear clothes they could work out in, so hey, at least you knew what you were getting into!

"One of the major things about health that people try to avoid is exercise," Claire told them. "Again, it's not just about losing weight, it's about keeping yourself healthy. Making sure your heart works. Avoiding heavy breathing on long walks when your friends are way ahead of you. The goal is to exercise three to five times a week, for at least twenty minutes. Since you barely have classes to actually go to, you can do that. So what I want you to do is try it for a week. Keep a log of what you did and for how long on what days, and hand it in for class next week. And to get you started, here's the gym. Pick something you want to do and get some exercise in."

It wasn't that Tali had an objection to exercise -- she certainly liked to keep up on it, even without having to do laps in Wash's class every week. It was just that after about five minutes on the elliptical she was running scans on the machine with her omni-tool instead, trying to figure out if she could improve on it.

Frank was dressed for activity. Yes, he was wearing a suit and dress shoes. But he was also wearing a bow tie to avoid having something dangle precariously from his neck while he played around with weights and machines.

SPEAKING OF HAVING SOMETHING DANGLE PRECARIOUSLY FROM HIS NECK WHILE HE PLAYED AROUND WITH WEIGHTS AND MACHINERY, he had a glass in a glass-holder hung from his neck. This way he could walk casually along a treadmill with his hands free! He could hold onto the treadmill! He could gesture to his heart's content! He could refill the glass around his neck while drinking from another glass in his otherwise free hand!

Working out wasn't so bad at all!
