Creative Inspirations | Monday, period one
//So,// Jono was actually almost dressed nicely for today's class, in that he'd been talked into some new black jeans and a neatly fitted jacket that wasn't made of leather for once. He didn't seem to mind, either, though his thumbs were hooked into his belt loops for lack of his usual leather jacket pockets to stuff them into. //Sometimes, in order to find inspiration for the arts, looking at the arts is what it takes. There's a human connection there, in the expression of others, and while you might all be looking at the same painting, or listening to the same music, or reading the same poem, the meaning derived from it is different for everybody taking it in.//
"Today we'll be taking in a ballet," Hannibal continued. He was back in a very well-tailored and well-cut suit, definitely in his milieu. "In a world with just enough time difference we can see the whole thing and be back in time."
//We'll be hitting up my reality for the show,// Jono noted. //A world where the subject matter of the ballet is very much a real person, and so the show itself is based strongly on stories passed down about him and myths that arose as a result. I imagine a lot of it is fairly open for interpretation still. I have only met the man the once...// And had been bitten by him, and had something of a family history with him. //But feel free to take whatever you see with a bit of a grain of salt. It is art, after all.//
"And should you meet the version of the man on the island," Hannibal said, "let me assure you, he is a pleasant and caring man."
//Nothing like the one from my reality,// Jono agreed, blinking. //Really not the same person at all. Well. Maybe they share a dentist or something.//
The joy of the multiverse.
//In any case, we should get going if we're going to make it in time for the doors to open.// The portal opened behind them, and Jono waved for the students to follow them through. //Come on, then. Let's all go take in Dracula.//
"And before we finish, I would like to let you know that after this weekend, since I imagine many of you may need a chance to unwind, we will be having a light get-together at our home, and everybody is invited."

Re: Lecture!
Dante trailed after them when they were done talking, happy to be bringing up the rear here.
Re: Watch the Ballet!
Though one eye might've opened from time to time, just for the dirty bits.
Re: Talk to the Teachers!
... Okay, some of it. The sexy biting bits. The whole thrall... thing...
Ah, to hell with it. He was going to spend the show trying to memorize the way the dancers moved, and once they were back in the classroom, he was going to sit himself down and start plotting out choreography for some kind of dark ballet on a sheet of paper. Lee had made him and the rest of the New Warriors learn to dance it, once upon a time. He might as well.

But by the end of it she was utterly asleep, like a lot of children would be by the end of such a show.
Re: Talk to the Teachers!
He was going to spend his creative time meal-planning.
