Tactics and Teamwork, Wednesday - Second Period

Today the scenery in the dangershop was finally different. Instead of a bland warehouse, it was a bland box canyon in the ass end of space. Awesome, right?

Which meant there was a lot more room to fight. Or not fight. Possibly question your life choices.

Once laps were done and armor put on, the teacher was ready to begin the lesson. Might wanna use the term loosely, though.

"Today we'll be switching things up," Washington said. "You now have bases to work out of instead of a killing floor everywhere. The goal today will be to capture the enemy's flag."

Which was a thing that made sense in warfare.

Damn it, Halo.

"And to make things interesting, blue team will have a tank."

Hope one of you knew how to use a tank with a surly AI system inexplicably named Sheila.

"I'll keep an eye on things in case anyone gets any ideas about cheating." Whether or not he'd stop them was left up in the air.

Face whistled as his ran a hand along the outside of the tank (his shoulders hadn't stiffened up enough from his first class of the day to do more than twinge). She wasn't a snubfighter, but she was was pretty enough.

Tali wouldn't lie, despite the obvious disadvantages of being on the team that didn't have a tank she wasn't that sorry about it.

Excessive amounts of time in the Mako with Shepard driving could have that effect on someone, even without taking the AI into consideration, and that was from someone who hadn't been on the squad when Shepard took the Mako on a crash course through the Conduit and onto the Presidium. Sure, maybe this tank couldn't laugh in the face of gravity and drive up the side of a mountain, and maybe it handled better than the Mako did, but still, she was just fine trying to figure out how to avoid it on foot.

Maybe she could hack it . . . ?

Face pulled his hand back. "Oh, of course you aren't, ma'am, not in any sense of the phrase," he said smoothly, addressing the turret. "I sincerely apologise for any offence."

Ooooh, Ringo was on the team with the tank. She was pretty sure that was an advantage.

It was an advantage, right?

She looked up at it thoughtfully before nodding in affirmation to herself. It had a big gun. And a lot of armor. It had to be an advantage.

Careful, Sheila, that was exactly Face's type.

"As transparisteel," he said, before smiling up at her. "Let's try starting this over. I'm Face, who do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

It was impossible to imagine why Cassandra had trouble taking you seriously, given you were flirting with a tank right now, Face.
