Independent Study: Thursday - Period Three

As Jones had promised, the final class would be the presentation of the student's research over the course of the semester. She had arranged access to the auditorium in case any of the student's friends or teachers wished to attend.

Ahahahahaha CRAP I was going to do Fandom Chicken for this and I'm not around at all today and haven't prepared anything. Would it be possible for Sparkle to make a raincheck for tomorrow night or the weekend or something? He can say it's to draw a better crowd, what with all the guests on the island for grad?

Cassandra walked up to the stage and cleared her throat. She was not expecting visitors.

"I have explored some measure of the school's studies on the subject of magic indigenous to the island," she said stiffly. "Though that is perhaps the wrong phrase. Many kinds of magic have found their way here, for many different purposes. The most familiar to us are the more malevolent happenings that occur on a regular basis..."

And so on, and so forth.

It turned out to be rather a dry recital of the facts; different kinds of magic she had read about, a sizable piece on the unreliability of portals, and the island's tendency to move around.

Cassandra was not made to be a public speaker, and she knew it. But she was trying.
