"Following on from last week, logistics is another often overlooked thing to be aware of," she told them. "Where are you going? How many of you are going there? What terrain are you travelling through and how? Is it friendly territory? Allied? Neutral? Enemy? Are there any known dangers? What supplies will you need? Can you get more? Any or all of these that can get you killed before you ever see a fight." And nobody told heroic tales of the people who got lost on the way tot he battle, kids.

"Now since it would be unreasonable to expect you all to learn all that you'd need to know to successfully supply a journey of any magnitude in a single period, we'll have a small scale practical exercise. As next week is the Spring Break trip, I would like you to approach packing for the trip as you would for more serious travels. Think about where you're going and what you'll need. Then in two week, you'll all share with the rest of the class how you did."

She waved a hand at them. "Take ten minutes to brainstorm with your classmates, then go pack."
