Comprehending Science & Technology, 1st Period - Monday

"I hope everyone got the last of the glitter out of their hair," Tony said once the class begin. "And clothing."

And probably a few places glitter was not meant to go.

"If not, well, keep trying." He was the most helpful person ever. "Today we're going to discuss something a little more... advanced. But it's fun, so you'll all like it. Tday is about Pym Particles."

Without Hank around. Because Hank? Hank had totally gone off the deep end into crazytown back home. But in a PG-13 way that didn't involve storylines that would haunt him for years to come. So, he lucked out in A:EMH. Though it was for the best since Tony got to skip Demon in a Bottle and Cap got to skip his weird Nomad phase.

"Pym particles were discovered by Dr. Hank Pym, who was successful in isolating them to the point where he could control the flow to increase and decrease the mass of objects and even people." So, he promptly fought crime with it. Made sense. "Prolonged exposure to these causes the body to be able to produce them naturally---ish. But that takes years to do."

He had yet to deal with any Young Avengers, though. So.

"Now I know, physics hurts at the thought of something being able to reduce and increase mass, but what they do is link the object to a different dimension where that mass can be siphoned to or from, depending on the size you're changing something to."

Tony cleared his throat and held up a gun that may or may not have been confiscated from 'Yellow Jacket'. Not that it would stop Hank from building a new one or anything. But it gave Tony an advantage should he edge toward villainy again. He pointed said gun at his desk, causing it to shrink down to the size found in a doll house.

"Ta-da." Wasn't that fun? "Okay, classwork today... I want everyone to discuss how this discovery could be applied in real world situations. That don't involve ants, Johnny."

"Can you put it back to normal size again?" Four asked. "Because carrying food and large amounts of stuff would be much easier if they're tiny, but kind of useless if it's all still tiny at the end."

Four nodded. "Make sure it doesn't mess up weapons, too." He arched an eyebrow at the tiny desk. "It would make life easier for movers?"

"You could shrink annoying people so you didn't have to listen to them anymore," Cecil suggested. Steve Carlsberg

"Well the medical field would benefit," Barry tilting his head in thought. "You could miniaturize something like the Mars Rover and in eject it into a body. It could deliver medicine directly to a tumor and cut down on chemotherapy. It could perform surgery internally without doing anything invasive."

"Maybe it would make construction easier and less expensive?" he tried. "You could build small models of buildings and then just size them up to the size you need?"

"In theory, you could mass produce it and create an army of Giant Men for military purposes," Johnny said. "Not that the is a thing that exists or anything."

If Tony was specifying ants, maybe his Pym hadn't gone giant. And bit the Blob's head off after Blob are Wasp.

Seriously, everything immediately following the Ultimatum Wave sucked.

In Andros' universe, a variation on this technology had eventually been used to imprison criminals, but that was really a bad idea on a number of levels and Andros wasn't about to be the first one to suggest it. "It does seem like it would be useful for storage and, as others have said, transportation."
