"Right," Anakin began. "Tomorrow is Halloween and while many of you are probably in the phase of 'I'm to cool to dress up and get free candy', my two kids are already bouncing off the walls with pre-sugar coma excitement. Today we will practice zen exercises to be ready for a doorbell ringing approximate a hundred thousand times in two hours."

Anakin smiled. "And then you can beat up a pinata and get free candy."

Mmm, candy.

Sit on the Danger Shop sofa! As soon as your butt hits the cushion, the doorbell will ring, which will cue the barking dog and a toddler inexplicably yelling "TOMATO."

Get to the door without tripping over the dog or the toddler.

Repeat until you snap.

(Anakin did it five times, then called Rory to volunteer to take the kids out instead.)

Decorating my house for the Halloween party tomorrow. Thinking it's asking for trouble to put up giant spider webs, given the legitimately terrifying size of the real spiders here?

For Alana, this was exhibit 697 or so in her ongoing theory that Earth had weird customs.

But there was candy at the end of this one, so ... whatever. She hoisted the stick and whacked away at the pinata.
