The Danger Shop today looked like a prison from the Old West. And for each student there was a cell complete with a bed, privy, half eaten meal on a metal tray with a spoon and a bible.

"Occasionally your line of work may mean you will run into the law," Jayne said groggily as though he'd been up drinking and burning luggage all night. "Unjustly, of course. So in these situations it is up to you to find your own manner of egrets."

He probably meant egress. He heard Book say it once and it sounded classy.

"So get into the cell and break out."

Also known as try to break out while Jayne passes out in the corner.

Sparkle snorted as he looked around the cell. Sure. What the hell ever. He kept a set of lockpicks in his ass pocket just for fun, after all, and so long as there wasn't a guard on duty to kick his ass for trying, kerjiggering the lock wouldn't be that hard.

... The force field was new, though. Sparkle wasn't going to be opening any doors with that thing up.

"Asshole," he muttered, pocketing his lockpicks again and going to investigate the meal while he contemplated some other way to get out of here. He was so not going to start digging his way out with the spoon, thanks.

Raven was all set to just shift into a shape that fit through the bars -- when she noticed the force field. Her "whatever, this is easy" smirk vanished and she scowled instead.

"Is there a guard in here?" she called. Someone she could maybe talk into letting her out would be great.

Sorry Raven. It took a few minutes for Jayne to pull himself out of his stupor.

"What?" he called out. "Guard? Yeah. Sure whatever. Should be by in a minute if you haven't broken out yet."

Cue yawn.

"He knows you're a shape shifter though. Good luck with that."
