Breaking Things 101, Wednesday, Period 3

The Danger Shop was filled with paper cranes today. Really. All sizes. From tiny to about the size of the average adult human head.

"Right, we're starting off easy on the path of destruction," Electroclash announced once everyone had shown up, twirling a moderately sized paper crane in her hands, before holding it up. "Paper. I know you can't technically break paper, but I don't care. It's my class, deal with it." Did she look smug for getting to say that? Maybe a little. "I want to start with paper because it's easy. You can tear it or burn it or whatever other more creative way you might want to come up with."

She shrugged.

"I just want you to do it. You can either attack the paper cranes in a manner of your choosing, or, if you can't bear to destroy Japanese paper art – and personally I don't understand why you wouldn't, but that's just me – there are also plain sheets of paper available. So get to it."

Topher hunted around for a paper shredder with the 'other such things,' then took a moderate amount of joy in shredding sheet after sheet.

It was, honestly, a little liberating.

Ask a firebender to destroy something flammable, three guesses how that would end.

Korra sat on the floor with a supply of cranes and a small flame coming from one fingertip, seeing how lighting them in different places made them catch differently.

Ooh, this would be fun. Sparkle was grinning as he lined up several paper cranes all in a row, and then pulled out a lighter and one of his sparklers.

Yes, he carried sparklers around with him. Why wouldn't he?

From there, he was going to burn the cranes using pyrotechnics. Because sparks.

Of course Sparkle had a lighter of his own. And he might even be coerced into sharing a few of his sparklers, too, if you sucked up enough.

Raven got some blank paper, tore it into strips, and proceeded to link several cranes together with them into a sort of fuse. Then she lit one end.

That was nice, but it didn't quite seem to hit the spot. So she got more paper, cut it into paper dolls, then set those on fire, too.

Goose got several pieces of blank paper and a pair of scissors and soon ended up with several small pieces of paper.
