"All right, this is it."

The Danger Shop had been set up as a wide, circular battle arena. The borders were made of steel and reached way up, with glass panes set in it at roughly above waist-height for your average person. Danger Shop or not, Kaidan didn't actually want anyone getting hit by... lasers... or whatever else these kids had come up with.

"All your 'bots enter, only one leaves," Kaidan announced. "It's battlebot demolition derby time! Don't wreck the Danger Shop. Wreck each other's 'bots. If yours makes it past the starting line, you've already got a passing grade, but... extra credit goes to the top three remaining."

Had to keep this fun, right?

Time for the demolition derby! There's some obstacles set up in the arena too - getting too close to the border might net you a whack from one of the hammers set up there, and there's a platform in the middle with circular saws that come up occasionally.

Its top was a wok (http://www.robotcombat.com/images/hercules1pics/hercvsblendo1.jpg) and it was run off of a lawnmower engine and it had totally originally been built by the Mythbusters but you shut your face, but you better believe it had some hovering technology and lasers to shoot at you because Cade was from a galaxy far, far away and that's how they rolled.

Anakin had brought his astromech droid (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R7-series_astromech_droid) with him to class today; look, he'd fully expected to lose it over Yavin 4 and by some miracle hadn't, and he was a little attached to that droid.

"Okay, Fiver," he said to the droid as he poked at his datapad, standing over the finished battlebot, "let's double-check this code one more time."

As for Topher and Ace's bot, well... it was shaped like a baby. In a diaper. And it crawled reasonably well, but all things considered, it didn't look too intimidating on its own.

That was until it started emitting bright blue repulsion gel from both ends, which would cause anything touching it to start bouncing around the room uncontrollably.

Hey, Kaidan had said no dangerous weapons, so they'd had to get creative.

Ace particularly liked her last-minute addition from last week's class: every so often, the baby-bot would spit green gel instead of blue.

The green gel didn't do anything except smell like lime Jello (because it was) and jiggle a lot, but it looked beautifully disgusting.
