Kaidan had spent the past day or so suffering through a wonderful migraine. The pain had abated now, at least somewhat, but there was still a loud pounding behind his ears.

He'd learned to ignore that. Frankly, if the migraine didn't physically knock him on his ass, then he was doing pretty good.

"Okay," he said, "This is our last day doing autorepair. We're going to be doing what we've been doing, but... with kind of a twist." He gestured at the rows of cars in the Danger Shop. "Like last time, each of these cars has a defect," he said. "Not like last time, you're going to get an opponent. You and a classmate both pick a car for yourself. The first one of you to fix the car and finish this lap in time wins. Good luck."

Ready to race. First to ping in is Red Team, second is Blue Time, next is Red Team again, etcetera.

Eye up potential cars and potential opponents.

Reds, pick a Blue opponent. Blues, pick a Red opponent.

Then pick a car. Run the checks we discussed last time.

The first one to get their car fixed and finish the lap wins.

Even if the headache abates, I'll probably be absent for most of the day due to Extreme Feels, fair warning. See, this thing is happening:

Lex Luthor, red

Cade, blue

Cade ~~'s PB~~ was made for this challenge, even if the cars still had wheels.

He looked a little smug as he leaned against a car he'd claimed as his and waited for a competitor.

Ace McShane, red

William Murdoch, blue

Topher Brink, red

"Hey, do you want to-- wait." Topher squinted at Cade. "You can probably run kinda fast, huh?"

"Nooooo," Cade lied through his teeth, spotting an easy mark.

"You look pretty athletic," Topher speculated. That was actually not a compliment in this instance. "But I bet that means you're not good at fixing cars. Want to race me?"

Anakin Solo, blue

Oh, good, something competitive that Anakin could do, also involving work with his hands. He'd be more than willing to throw himself into this class.

Tony Stark, red

"Need an opponent?" Tony wasn't particularly competitive, but this sounded like fun.

Cade tried to hide a little smirk. "Yeah, sure."

Sorry, Topher. This was going to end so badly for you.

Anakin wasn't overly competitive with people who weren't his siblings, but today he was up for it. "Sure," he replied, (overly) confident he'd do just fine.

Well, he was part of the Skywalker family. Overconfidence was part of their very genetic structure.

"Awesome," Tony replied with a grin. "I'm gonna kick your ass."

Trash talk was always necessary.

Not to mention the extra helping of it that came with his name!

Anakin smirked and gestured with one finger, using the Force to pop open his car's hood because he was a gigantic showoff. "We'll see about that."

Mercy Thompson, blue

Mercy was feeling pretty confident here. She was good with cars and she was incredibly fast. Come on, red team person!
