The danger shop was a field again, and there was even a fairly normal-looking opposing team programmed into the simulation. Well, normal-looking from afar, anyway. Once any of the club members actually got close enough to them to see inside their helmets, they would notice that literally every player on the opposing team was a copy of Coach Simstock.

And yes, they were occasionally going tobe stopping what they were doing in the game to recite the Independence Day speech, for no good reason.

It was the best Jackson had managed on his own, okay. Maybe one day he'd give up his pride and ask Stiles or someone for help, but today was not that day. Not that he looked all that interested in the club today anyway. His phone seemed to be most of his focus.

He glanced up. "Okay, play, or whatever."

Inspiring, right?

jackson's gonna be heading into some more canon soon, DUN DUN DUN.

Victor was doing okay until the first Simstock started on a speech. Then he really was obligated as an American to pause until the speech was finished.

If he got knocked down immediately afterwards and lost track of the game entirely ... that was really his own fault.
