Class had been ~~handwavily~~ asked to meet in the Danger Shop for their first session together. So you just had to know this was going to be an interesting introduction, no?

"Welcome, I am Ser Jaime Lannister," Jaime said, dressed in the fine armor of the Kingsguard because, well, it was a first impression. For some. "And this is Captain Rogers. We will be instructing you in the finer points of battle tactics in this class."

“You don’t have to call me Captain,” Steve assured them. “Mr. Rogers is fine. We don’t expect all of you to have previous experience in this area, but here’s what we do expect of you: You will arrive on time and ready to pay attention and learn. You will be respectful to us and to your classmates. You will treat this class seriously, because it could save your life.”

Jaime looked suitably impressed by the rules. Possibly because his would have been more along the lines of: don't kill each other with the force of your inability to follow orders.

"Today will be--paintball. Since a melee was frowned upon by the administration here." Pff. Melees were the best.

They didn’t want to injure the students on the first day, Jaime. “You’ve been divided into two teams. You have a few minutes to gear up and meet with your team. Your first task will be to decide who’s in charge.”

"From there, you will need to work together to defeat your opponents," Jaime added. "Following is just as important as leading in a battle. We would like to see just who is capable."

Dany looked around at her teammates. "I am a better figurehead than actual leader in battle," she offered, shaking her head. "And I do not understand these devices."

Was she irritable because she had thought it was Tyrion when she'd signed up for a Lannister class? Only very.

Marasiah Fel, 2

Sia was well-practiced with a blaster, but these particular weapons were a bit new. "I'm going to assume that the name of this game is apt?" she checked.

Kate Daniels, 1

Oh and it was guns right off the bat. Great.

"I couldn't hit a moving target with one of those things if my life depended on it." Kate was going with honesty here. Guns and her did not mix. "But I can give orders if I have to."

Cassidy, 1

Cassidy looked a little confused by the weapon. "I have never used something like this, though I have seen others use them?"

Alex Aaron, 1

"I can show you how to use them real quick," Alex offered. "Paint guns are just sort of point and shoot."

Mercedes Thompson 2

Mercy was pretty good with guns and was happy to give Cassidy a quick overview on how these worked. "Except these shoot paint pellets, not bullets."

Kate slanted a look at him. "I know how to use a gun." Sort of. "I just never hit anything."

It wasn't for a lack of trying, she'd practiced even. She just had a bit too much magic in her to mesh well with anything mechanical. Phones died in her hands, guns misfired or just plain missed. It was a thing.

"Okay," Alex said, "but I don't think she knows how?" with a jerk of the thumb toward Dany. "And maybe just...try not to hit your own teammates at least?"

Chaz Villette, 1

Chaz did his best to blend in with the background. "I don't really want to shoot anyone? Can I just be stealthy and lurk behind people?"
