"Welcome to class, everyone," Zayne said. "My name is Zayne Carrick, Fandom High Class of 2010. Among everything else on a distressingly long list of jobs, I'm a local business owner. I own Goodvalor's Little Bivoli, a restaurant over on Godiva Street. I also own and manage the MCA apartment building. And back in my home galaxy, I'm half of a business group that owns real estate, sells sports memorabilia, sells droid parts... and probably plenty else since I've been here."

"To be completely honest, I had no plans on going into business when I graduated. I was going to become a Jedi - basically a peacekeeping monk in space - when I was framed for a terrible crime and ended up relying on a conman with dozens of... questionable business ventures in his past to help me clear my name."

"I'll get more into that in the coming weeks. Right now, I just want to get the requisite introductions out of the way and find out what kind of businesses you guys are interested in potentially starting," Zayne said. "By the end of the semester, the goal is to get something small - and independent of whatever else you might have going on - running. Hopefully, assuming none of us mess this up spectacularly, you'll have a good or service to take to the people of Fandom."

"So, like I said, introductions and your first run ideas. Feel free to suggest whatever."

I love that Zayne's going to try to teach Stark, Luthor, and a member of the Babysitter's Club how to start a business. If only I still had Bruce on the island. Maybe a Turtle Wexler....

Stacey McGill

"My name is Stacey McGill, and I'm a sophomore. I'm not exactly sure what kind of business I'm into yet," she admitted. "Maybe something with fashion?"

Tony Stark

This just means the Babysitter's Club is gonna hit the Fortune 500 list, you know.

"Are you interested in design at all?" Zayne asked. "That's probably the most obvious path, but there's other options, too. Selling clothes... um..." Zayne was clearly straining. "Being an agent to models?"

"Obviously, I don't know much about the world of fashion." He only had like three outfits, after all.

It's so obvious! By the time Stacey's done with this class, the BSC will be buying and selling children. LEGALLY.

Lex Luthor

NO ONE TELL KRISTY. STACEY'S TRYING TO CORNER THE MARKET.

"I don't know about design," she admitted. "But my mom's talked about maybe getting her own boutique someday, and I think I'd like to know how to help with that."

Her mom would probably never end up doing this, but far be it from Stacey to not jump to the conclusion that she had to help with something like that anyway.

"Lex Luthor, senior, I'm interested in research and biotech mostly."

"This class should definitely be able to help with that," Zayne said. "And if you decide to make that the focus of your semester project, by this point I have plenty of experience in selling things I don't really understand, so I'll be able to give some hopefully decent guidance."

"Do you work at any of the clothing stores in town?" He wouldn't know because, again, three outfits.

"Here comes the 'I'm from another galaxy' question," Zayne warned. "Is that biotech in terms of agriculture and food production, or in terms of people getting cyborg arms? I'm not sure which way Earth science tends to lean."

"Agriculture," Lex replied. "I'm not opposed to the latter though."

"No?" That wasn't bad, right?
