Detention, Depths of the Castle, Saturday

Did anything feel different today? Were the people in detention feeling more inspired for any reason? If so, it certainly didn't show in how the day started out just like every other day. There was nothing special about today, nothing special about any of your days, and everyone in detention would do well to remember that.

Just like yesterday, Jono was watching the door, eyes narrowed. But there was a new sort of look in his eye, one part excitement, two parts fear.

What in the world was there out there, that was even worth him getting out for?

Still, any other prisoner who wandered into the range of his psionic voice today, small as that range was under the effects of the power dampener that was out there somewhere, would hear him mutter just one thing.

//Today. Be ready today.//

Dinah ate like a robot; just fuel to get through the day. She had a lot to think about. Sookie and Bobby. Priestly. Kennedy and Momoko starting to break free... and Karla's message.

If this was the last time, or her last meal, well. She was going to need it.

Calvin wasn't particularly hungry today, but Hobbes sat there glaring at him, so he shovelled it into his mouth.

Eve knew about the plan, but she wasn't entirely sure she believed in it. How could something like that even work? She was pretty much convinced she was going to die down here... even if Savannah had told her she wouldn't.

She didn't believe much of anything her daughter had said.

She paced back and forth, just for something to do.

There was something happening today, and it was enough to have April sitting in a new seat than her usual, this time facing the door.

Other than that, and the way her gaze occasionally skimmed sharply over the corners of the room, you could barely tell there was anything different about her at all.

Wyatt was tense and waiting while trying to look like the exact opposite (with some success, but not all). He wasn't sure what was going down, but he was going to be ready to do what he could, including getting his aunt the hell out of here.

Goose didn't even think twice about eating the contents of his plate today, especially if he was going to need every ounce of strength that he had.

Today Goose wasn't as isolated as what he normally was and had even chosen a different location to sit, it wasn't completely different to his normal routine but he had allowed this small change.

He didn't want to get to hopeful about this plan in case something went wrong.

Liara was seated on the floor, trying to remember the prayers her mother had taught her. Trying to remember that, and the flexes of muscle-memory required to send her biotics screaming through the hallways.

It was calming.

Jaye tried to eat it, but meh. She'd had better.

She'd given up on getting ice, too. Because she'd thought about it, and... basically Bobby had been holding a corpse for two days? She had a serious concern that drinking dead people-infused water was how zombies were made.

Zayne... hadn't really moved from his meditative pose since yesterday.

If you paid attention and listened closely, you might get the impression that he was preparing himself for what was coming since he'd pared down the Jedi Code a bit. "There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force...."

Whatever happened today, Zayne was at peace.

Jaye had reclaimed the lion by now. If by some chance everyone didn't screw up and did manage to get them out of here, she was sure it'd start talking to her again, and she didn't want to lose it accidentally.

She was sure if and when they got out of here, she could go right back to trying to ignore it. That'd be nice.

Jack closed his eyes and imagined better-tasting things as he choked it down. Today, he actually would have preferred cardboard.

As he ate, he watched the door with a certain amount of nervous energy. things should start happening soon, shouldn't they?

Jack was killing time. He started on one of his recitation projects, Shakespeare this time, for the sake of cover, but he wasn't keeping up his usual steady flow with the words; it was almost as if he didn't think what he was saying mattered at all.

It was possible the whole concept of today being the day was a grand lark of Karla's. Jack was going to try not to get his hopes too high until he knew for sure that it was not.

If Bobby knew anything about any plan, he... certainly wasn't giving anything away, considering he once again hadn't moved.

Florida actually emerged from under her cot today, and even, wonder of wonders, ate without hiding under the table.

Normally, Zoe didn't wander around the detention area much, but today, she couldn't stop walking, checking things, checking people, and trying to make sure everyone would be as prepared as possible. It was difficult to stay calm, not knowing exactly what was coming, but she was trying to have faith.

Hanna was pacing nervously. She wasn't quite sure what was happening, but she knew it was something big. Was it possible they'd really get out of here?

It was there, and it wasn't as if Stark had anything else to do this morning besides keep looking over at Bobby worriedly. So he ate enough that he wouldn't be hungry, at least for a little while.

Stark was pacing again today (though not far from the Bobby-sicle). And muttering. Nothing unusual about that. He was trying, desperately, not to feel hopeful that something good might happen today. Because if it went wrong, or if it was all a lie to begin with, it would be easier after if he hadn't been hopeful.
