Fandom Trail [Thursday, Fourth Period]
As each student entered the Danger Shop, Oz handed them an envelope with their name on it. Inside, it was she up to resemble an old-fashioned saloon. Oz stood behind the bar, and an empty table with five seats took pride of place in the room.
"Good afternoon, class, and welcome to Fandom Trail, a historical re-enactment where you will travel across the old American Frontier." The frontier as interpreted by Oz, so clearly it was gong to be completely accurate. "Before you can get started on your travels, your party needs to come together, which is why you're in a bar, so you can met, introduce yourselves to each other, and decide to travel together, work out the logistics, what skills everyone brings to the table, how many oxen you'll need for your wagon, all that."
Oz held up a hand. "But to keep in the spirit of the class, instead of introducing yourselves, you are each going to take on a persona for the next few weeks, and you'll be introducing them. Your envelopes contain your names and a few basic details, you can build from there. No swapping."

Introductions - FT [01]
Billy Kaplan - Merry Walsh. Who claims to be an antisocial poet searching for employment, but is really the heir to greatness raised in secret who works as an assasin against the forces of darkness.
Britta Perry - Stella Wirpnoodle. You claim you're a sickly, opinionated philosopher, when really you're an annoying screw-up sidekick who became a superhero and who is secretly funded by the government
Jeremy Darling - Ezra Nurtacker. You claim to be an ignored acrobat who is dependent on medication, but in fact you're a serial killer who steals from the rich and gives to the poor.
Percy Jackson - Derek Carter. You say you're a compassionate, altruistic rabble-rouser who loves children, but really you're a depressed police officer who has nothing left to lose and who is accused of a crime they did not commit.
Susan Sto Helit - Esther Love. You seem to be a spy who suffers from a chronic disease, but you're actually a well-meaning and polite regular girl who has keen fashion sense.

And then she realized that it was her turn. "Err, um...I mean...well, howdy...y'all," Britta's eyes danced with uncertainty toward the teacher, and she kept plowing on, "my name is...(apparently) Stella...Whipnoodle. I mean, Wirpnoodle, and I am a philosopher. It's important to have someone with you who can remind us of humanity and what we're all doing traveling to the grate frontier in the first place...cough, cough. Oh, I'm sorry." She put her hand to her heart. "I'm slowly dying as a disease I contracted from living in the poor slums of the overcrowded cities of our nation, but, don't worry. It's not contagious. Cough, cough, cough."
