Home Economics [Mon, Period 2]

Bond knew how to wear the hell out of a suit, even if it was a polyester monstrosity instead of Saville Row. That said, he was very quick to get into shirtsleeves and an apron at the start of class, which was being held in the Home Ec today room rather than the Danger Shop. If something caught on fire it was the board's fault.

"Good morning, class, and welcome to you Home Economics final, if you'll all get changed we'll begin." You all had aprons to cover up the polyester, weren't you grateful?

Once the class had hidden the plaid, Bond continued. "Now your recipes are on the benches, ingredients are in the fridge, and utensils in the cupboards, so I'm sure you'll all have something special to share by the end of class."

Note that he said special, not edible.

Actually cooking something? Caroline was less pleased with this final than with the slightly too small uniform she wore.

At least one of these things showed off her legs, okay?

Okay, so salad was like the easiest thing Caroline could find on the bench and lord why were there still so many ingredients?!

It was a nightmare she wasn't prepared for, so to Caroline the end of the world was near.

This wasn't what Jake had been expecting, but he browsed the list of recipes and finally settled on the most plain thing he could find on the list: the burger. He could swing that and while it wouldn't be the best burger you'd ever ate, it might actually be edible.

Just ignore the way he kept tugging at the collar of his shirt as the whole thing was too tight.
