"Today's class is a cheap pun," Scott said. The shop today was a replica of the main gathering space in the community center. No theme, though. "I apologize for that, but I bet you weren't going to be too invested in a Friday afternoon class the day of Prom anyway, so this is what you're getting."

"Today you get to dance. Find a partner and take turns..." Scott paused, considered whether or not he really wanted to say it, and finally just went for it. "... leading. There. That's out of the way. Get to it."

Not much of one today. There was a cheap pun, though!

There is very danceable music playing. Pair up and take turns leading.

Who'd better be dancing!

Who regrets the pun, but justifies it based on what he said in the lecture.

Meanwhile, I couldn't resist making the pun. I don't care, it's great.

I saw the first sentence and expected some kind of spaceship called the Leader and preemptively groaned. I can't decide if this is better or worse. Though it's certainly more timely.

This is so much better. Like, so much.

Rebecca rolled her eyes, made a big show of checking her watch, and tapped her foot against the ground. Not in a dancey way.

So she was not a huge fan of this activity. Shocker, because she was usually such a ray of sunshine.

Quinn was eying the boys in class, trying to figure out who could keep up with her. This would be a good warm-up for prom.

Squall Leonhart

Squall's attitude toward dancing had changed a lot since the day a few years back when Rinoa had had to physically drag him out onto the floor.

That didn't mean he wanted to dance now, especially without Rinoa.

So, instead, he leaned against the wall in a shadowy corner and watched everyone else.

Bobby Drake

Bobby was... well, in the years since coming to Fandom he'd managed to master the basics of dancing, but he was by no means a paragon of style and grace on the dance floor.

He was still around ~~if ridiculously late~~ should anyone need to talk to him, though.
