Oz's class was once again in the Danger Shop, and he looked mighty pleased with himself today. The Shop resembled a labspace, with opaque drapes covering the equipment on the benches. He also had a cannon by his desk that might have looked awfully familiar to ~~Peter~~ certain members of the class.

"One highly underrated skill that's even more vital in today's age of ubiquitous advertising is the ability to balance an open mind with a healthy degree of skepticism. Not believing everything you're told, but being willing to search for the kernel of truth that may or may not be there." Anyone who'd listened to radio over the weekend could probably guess where this was heading. "And the best was to uncover this truth is through experimentation, repeated experimentation. With partners, so get ready to find one."

He pressed a remote control, and the drapes vanished to reveal bags and cans of glitter in every size and colour that could fit on the benches, some of which were marked 'edible'. "Your job today will be to apply glitter to your classmates, working your way through the supplies, and see what happens. For science." For something all right.

"Of course, every experiment needs a control group, which in this case is myself and Peter here. We'll be supervising." This reprieve wasn't just Oz being kind, it was also that certain activities weren't as much fun when you already knew what would happen. He patted the MythGlitzerGun. "Anyone who tries invalidate the experiment by contaminating the control to gets to make friends with Betsy here."

He might also want to see if you can talk your partner out of glittering you while still glittering them. But beware the GLITTER NINJA*.

[Effects of glitter on your character are obviously up to you. Glitter is real or simulated, depending on if you want your character to have to deal with glitter the rest of the day or not.

Well, Peter had had a damned awful week after the weekend, and he'd spent most of the past two days in his room watching the news come in, checking sources and marking off more Battle School students missing on his map.

And, okay, so he knew Oz probably had his own reasons for this reprieve, but frankly, Peter needed a break. So he was going to interpret this as a present to himself.

He was, however, way too manly and in control of himself to do anything as silly as make happy doe eyes of admiration at Oz. Perish the thought. You saw nothing. It was the Glitter Ninja.

Juliet Darling

Juliet claimed some goggles and a lab coat but hung back. She was hoping somebody who wanted to spend their day all glittery would partner with her so she wouldn't have to get sprayed.

"Someone's in a good mood," Rebecca observed, hopping up onto the desk opposite Peter. "You mean you didn't want glitter in your hair?"

...right. If they were going to be glittering each other today, Rebecca wanted a boy partner, dammit.

So she'd just be here, feeling fairly pleased with her choice of skirt and V-neck sweater today as she scoped out partner options.

"It makes a terrible fashion statement, don't you think?" Peter asked, looking up to... offer her a smirk. Stylish, Peter.

Rebecca grinned. "Where were you in the eighties?" she teased.

Peter shot her a glance. "Still got eight years to go before I tackle those," he snarked. "Give or take."

Chuck Bartowski

Rebecca blinked.

"Nineteen-eighties," she clarified. "They were big on glitter back then."

Rebecca Logan: Credible source of historical information.

"You don't happen to really like glitter, do you?" It was worth checking. Chuck didn't particularly want to get covered in the stuff, but... he'd probably do it out of some sense of chivalry. If that existed in this situation.

"Color me glad I was born two hundred years later, then," Peter retorted. "That glitter stuff looks like some of these kids will be ladling it out of their pants for the next few months."

"On things," Juliet said promptly. "Really not on my skin. Or clothes that aren't supposed to be glittery. That stuff never washes off."

"Tell me about it," Rebecca said. "My old school had an eighties dance and someone let some overachiever handle the decorations. Glitter up to my ankles on the way out of the room, I swear." She rolled her eyes. "Never again."

Eyes twinkling, she continued, "But you -- now, you look like a man who's had experience with glitter dumped on him before." Not really, but she'd listened to radio this weekend. "Any strategies you'd like to share?"

"Don't come within five miles of Oz while he's got that MythGlitzerGun?" Peter suggested. He shot Rebecca an amused look, and added, "Or try stripping down so you don't have as much to get glitter stuck in."

How was this his life these days?

"I think we're all doomed just by entering this classroom," Chuck remarked. "A bit like we're doomed the moment we go to a school dance."
