"Good morning. I had planned on giving a surprise exam today, but in lieu of the weekend's events, I want you to use this period to do in-class reviewing. If you have any questions, now would be a good time to ask.

"Your exam will be on Wednesday, and will cover everything we have talked about to date. I suggest you study."
