Gun Range: Afternoon

Pippi skidded to a hault at the door to the gun range. Tex's M6D was in one hand and the extra clips were in her pocket.

She tried the door but it wouldn't open...

Was it locked?

Was it frozen stuck?

Was there anybody in there still?

Should she knock?

She paused... Wondering if it was really a good idea to pull it off it's hinges.

Just then, a she got a call.

Crud.

She made another call.

Some people might still be in there from Gun Club. And would hear someone knocking.

Janet heard someone talking outside the door and put her gun down so that she could go see who it was.

"Hi," she said. New student, can't remember her name. "Weren't you here earlier?"

"Yeah..." Pippi said entering the range. "I just went to the Gym and came back... Didn't you hear the PA announcement..." She looked over at all the noisy shooting...

"Oh yeah huh. Anyway, I'm Pippi and there's snow monster things coming through town towards the school and the big metal lady want's me to bring people and guns to the gym... I tried to get a hold of Parker but she's apparently already encountered some."

Janet pulled off her ear protectors. "Announcement? Snow monsters? Oh, hell, like zombies weren't enough? Thanks for the warning!"

Janet grabbed her gun and her ammo, then ran--okay, walked fast--for her med kit.

"I think I'd rather prefer zombies." said, Pippi walking over to the locker.

"I never sang a Christmas song about a zombie, ya know?"

She considered the locker for a moment... Noting all the weapons in it and how awkward it would be to remove the weapons from it...

She shruged and picked up the whole thing, looking around for anybody else who may not have heard her over the sound of shooting for practice.

Sam ran up to the girl lifting the weapons' locker. "Put it down. If you need what's in it, I can get you in there. What's going on?"

"Whoa," Cameron quickly grabbed a couple of guns and ammo from the locker before hurrying back to the dorms to check on Vala.

Pippi puts the locker down.

"But it's just easyer then running around with a bunch of loose guns..."

At being asked what is going on, Pippi takes a deep breath...

"I'm Pippi and I don't think I've met you properly but we don't have time for a how'd ya do because there are snow creatures going through town attacking the troopers and they're heading for the school and the big cranky metal lady in the gym said we needed all the weapons we could get and she sent me here to get them because you can shoot parts off the snow creatures though they might regenerate after a while or something and I think I'd rather deal with zombies."

"Be careful!" she called after him,

"Some of them are sharks Parker said."

Pippi wasn't sure if that info was helpful... But it was what she had at the moment.

Finishing up a round, Kara glances around to see activity. Janet is picking up her her medkit, Sam is opening up the weapons lockers and Cam is running off with guns and ammo.

She takes off her ear protecters and asks, "What the frak is going on?"

Pippi considers making a sign.

She's rather out of breath from all this explaining.

"Snow monsters. Attacking. School. Danger. Weapons. Gym."

"Apparently we're being attacked by snow monsters," said Janet. "Everyone's gathering in the gym."

"Gods, this school," mutters Kara, collecting her weapon and ammo.

Pippi nodded.

"Sam Carter," Sam said abruptly, listening to the girl's explanation as she picked the lock. "And it may be easier, but you can't use a gun if it's locked in a locker. Grab all the ammo you can carry."

The doors to the locker swung open, and Sam grabbed two zats, a P-90, and shoving two grenades into her pockets. "Let's move. We'll go back and mount a defense from a central location."

Janet started grabbing weapons and ammo--as well as keeping a zat and a 9 mm for herself. Medical was backup, sure, but what happened if a Jaffa hit you with a staff blast the snow monsters went after the wounded?

"Yes mam."

Still holding onto Tex's M6D and extra clips, Pippi grabbed her flintlock and pouches.

She grabbed an empty stray backpack and cleared out a shelf of things into it.

Pippi slings her random collection of armor and weapons (TM) onto her back.

"What I wouldn't give for a 20 pounder right about now..."

"Let's move," Sam said, still not completely clear on the details, but understanding they were once again under attack.

Pippi nodded and followed Carter to the Gym. Hanging back a bit to make sure Janet wasn't left behind.

Marty, who as usual is afk when all the good action happens runs into the room and grabs his glocks, sniper rifle, and machine gun.

"Pippi, I think there's a handtruck in the storage closet here that you can put the weapons locker and ammo truck on. I'm heading afk until tonight and I'll drop Marty in later where appropriate to the gym after making sure everyone has either made it to the dorm or someplace safe."

"Thanks Marty, I'll just take this too and we'll just handwave that I got it there because there's just "a pile of stuff" that people take from in the gym! Be careful!"

Nadia caught the tail end of Pippi's warning as she pulled her ear protection off. She looked at her gun, and her expression hardened. She grabbed some extra ammo and headed toward the gym.

Han who showed a little late fr gun club, hears the commotion. His own gunbelt is in there and he takes a minute to strap it on and shove his blaster back in the holster.

He catches the two DL-37s he bought for him and Bagoas and tucks them into the gunbelt, and grabs as many of the rest as he can carry. He tucks a couple of powerpacks into the top of his boots.

"Lead on, Pippi."

John stares at the weird redhead and doesn't mumble something about steroids. He's very glad he has most of his good stash out of the locker before she girlmanhandles it.

John follows, lugging ammo boxes full of... puppies and kitties, yeah, that's it.
