As the students file in they are given a handout and directed to their seats.

"There are five major principles of design they are Balance, Proportion, Rhythm, Emphasis, and Unity"

"Balance"

"Balance refers to making sure you have a sense of stability in your work," Autolycus jumped up on his desk and motioned the students to do so as well. He started walking around the very edge of the desk. "If you don't have balance then all that'll happen is your painting will look like it's going to fall over any second."

"Proportion"

"Making sure things are the right, or even the wrong, size," Autolycus "Although try to stick with right, after all who wants to see some woman with impossibly huge breasts."

"Rhythm"

"The way the eye is drawn though the painting, from focal point to focal point."

"Emphasis"

"How you make sure the focus of the piece is what you want it to be, be it through use of colour, size, space."

"Unity"

"Does the piece hang together as a whole? Or is it all over the place?"

Angel signed in.

Angel stood on his desk. His facial expression was dubious, but his balance was excellent. He walked like someone without vertigo ~~someone who could take a straight drop off of a skyscraper, as for example...~~

Jack signs in. He might still be bug-eyed due to his mother being his age right now. You never know.

Zero signs in. She really can't blame Jack for that, or wouldn't if she had any idea it was going on.

Zero hopped up on her desk and attempted to walk around the edge of it like Professor Autolycus and Angel were doing. It didn't work out so well for her.

"Ow!"

Jack realizes he was bug-eyed enough that he signed into the wrong class. Oopsie.

Jaye signs into the right class, ha ha.

Jaye stands on her desk.

~~"O Captain My Captain!"~~

Jack would tell Jaye to bite him, if he hadn't disappeared in ignomous shame OMG.

Jaye would jazz hands at him anyway.

Parker waves a 'we'll do lunch' sign at him, then goes back to being amused. And badly dressed.

Parker signs in, slumped down and trying not to be noticed.

"Are you okay? You aren't a tightrope walker, Lavendar." Parker's standing on top of her desk, arms crossed, eyebrow cocked, feet braced. It's actually a good thing she's not wearing heels today.

Parker starts tapping her heels on the desk. "Rhythm. *And* balance. Do I get extra credit?"

Zero's second attempt seems to be going much better. "Yeh, I'm fine. Wasn't usin' that elbow for anything, anyway."

Jake signs in, sullenly.

Jake sat on his desk and continued to look sour.

Stark signs in.

Stark hops on up his desk and does not bounce at all, just stands very still thinking that this art teacher may be just as odd as the last one. Terrible depth perception and walking around on small raised surfaces don't mix well, and he's certain he would fall right off the edge of the desk.

Saura signs in, in an amazingly good mood.

Fred signs in

Fred nervously stood on her desk for a moment and then got down in a hurry. She was afraid of heights.
