Student Council Booth -- Polls and Sign-ups

Parker has a poll, and a two Program Sign-Ups. Please answer these questions, so StuCo can meet your requests!

The sign-up forms (in the OCD threads below) are for Study Groups Needed, and Out of Time Support Group. Sign up in the appropriate column, if you are interested in assistance.

ETA: All the forms have a now scribbled-in ticky box for "Basketball" , and the box can be 'checked'(at that link) if you're interested in signing up for that.

There is also a "Suggestions" sheet there too.

Name and class you're flailing in.

Name, and classes you can help in. Ones you're either currently taking, or have taken, or have tons of experience in.

Name & Time Period. Sign up for someone to help you acclimate, if you don't have a Big Sibling to help you out, especially.

Sign up if you'd be willing to be a Tour Guide to the 21st Century for some of the newbies. Nothing fancy, just answering questions, maybe a tour of town.

Sam Carter. Math, Quantum Physics, Shop, U.S. Government.

"Parkie? Why can't I vote for basketball?" Cameron might be pounting.

"Because I didn't put it on the list? Or, for that matter, put a place for suggestions." Parker shrugged. "We're going with the top two to harass the administration about teams. If you want to start a scribble-space for Basketball, you can write a space for it on all the forms."

"How can you not think of basketball?" Cameron was kinda on a roll with the whining and needs to keep going. "Scribble-space?"

Parker leaned back, still amused so far, and crossed her arms. "I'm not going to re-do the whole thing now. Just write sideways on them, 'Basketball' and put a little ticky box next to it. What's got into you?"

"Alright," Cameron held out his hand to accept the forms. "I was on the basketball team in my old school."

Biology

Lana would be glad to volunteer to help out.

Blair Sandburg, Anthropology, Archaeology

"Fair enough," Parker acknowledged. "Although I hear Pyramid is similar. You might talk more people into that."

"Yeah, Anders' been comparing it to that. I haven't played it yet," Cameron replied as he started scribbling away on the forms. It were a lot of forms. "So how does it feel to be in power? Again?"

Angel (but not for anything computer related)

"Pretty much like it felt before, only with more people, most of whom want to participate." She grinned. "Callisto is now StuCo Pres, and I'm working on ways to make her have to do the work. After a few more things are set up. The Outta Time program here is Pip Bernadette's idea, for instance. Sandberg suggested the help groups."

She shrugged. "I'm thinking of showing "King Arthur" (http://community.livejournal.com/m15m/4794.html) this weekend to acclimate or confuse the newbies to English history-- think your girlfriend is going to be around? She might get a kick out of it."

"Callisto as president? That's kinda scary. Does she get bongos to shut people up in meetings?" Cameron grinned. "Probably, but my girl has mysterious ways ~~and might have her hands full on Saturday~~. I can suggest it to her?"

"I dare you to suggest that to our new Pres. Seriously." Parker grinned back. "Tonight, tomorrow, whatever. Sunday's good too. Feel free to come along as well. You might get a kick out of it if you haven't seen the movie before."

(No, I can't fly. But he's still curious about Quidditch, since Rita compared it to surfing. And dammit, it's not fair to restrict sports by superpowers!)

"If you can promise me it won't result in more bruises because Vala will go ballistic otherwise," he might grumble something about shrinks. "I haven't, I'll let her know. I just hope it won't confuse her even more.

Logan turned in his survey form. His face is badly scratched on one side and all his movements are careful, as though he's sore all over. "Okay, so what exactly is Quidditch?" he asked.

Molly Hayes. Need help in Western Civ, Creature Languages, Intro to Archaeology and Paleontology.

"Not sure, but I think I've heard Kiki mention it a couple times. I think it's a magic sport?" Parker shrugged. "I put it on the form in case the magic types want to start a team. I don't want to be accused of not taking the wizard and witch interests into account."

"Bruises?" Parker cocked an eyebrow. "Ouch. Have you been sparring a lot, or what?" She shrugged. "I'll make sure to put in a fictional disclaimer before we watch anything. I promised Dr. Pierson I wouldn't lead them that far astray."

"Shouldn't be excluding the non-magic types," Logan said. "What kind of message does that send to the new arrivals?"

Parker cocked an eyebrow at him. "If there's flying involved, how *would* they play it otherwise? I suppose some of the mutants would be able to participate too, but wouldn't it be a waste if you couldn't do the major part of the sport?" She shrugged. "Although, I suppose if you could find some kind of spell or artifact that lets you fly during a game, you'd still be able to try out. I wouldn't know, though."

"That might be a good idea." Cameron shrugged. "I haven't sparred since Wednesday." Wich more has to do with being too sore to spar than anything else.
