"Today, I would like for you to work on your pronunciation of Greek through discussion groups. We should have one group of two and one of three; to break up the usual pairs, I would like for Janet Frasier to work with Murphy MacManus, and Connor MacManus to work with John Connor and Samuel Anders."

"Your prompt for discussion is simple -- discuss how you spent the winter break."

Anders signs in and takes a seat with coffee in hand, waiting for his group and suddenly realizing that discussing what he did over break might be kind of awkward.

Anders pulled out his Palm Pilot, dispensed a handful of jujubes, and slid them over onto Janet's desk with a grin.

"Thanks," whispered Janet, popping one in her mouth. She grinned at Anders and looked around for her partner.

Janet grins at Anders after they've waited around a while. "Looks like we may get off with a light day," she whispered.

"Well, don't go and jinx it," Anders whispered back, tapping his pencil against his nose. "Think we should go ahead and work together if they don't show?"

Connor saunters in a few paces after his brother and sees who he's paired up with. He wanders over and sits, introduces himself.

John sits down near Anders and Connor. "Hey. Denny Crane John Connor. Anders? Not-Me-Connor?"
He may have muttered something like "too many freakin' Johns and Connors" under his breath.
