Her office door is cracked open and music can be heard from inside.

How many teachers will complete paperwork while listening to "I Hate Everything About You"? Sara clearly has been influenced by Greg Sanders.

Feel free to request she turn the music down. Your request will be denied, but it will provide her with some amusement.

Phoebe happens to like that sound and she is slightly swaying to the music as she shows up.

"Good Afternoon Ms. Sidle."

Nope, no hero worship there, not at all.

"Hello, Phoebe. Come on in."

Maia knocked on the door and then stepped all the way into the office. "Hey Sara do you have a minute?"

"Sure, Maia. What can I do for you?"

Maia sat down bitting her lip and then she looked up at Sara. "I need to talk to you as my friend, not as my teacher ok?"

"Of course," she says softly, closing the door.

Maia sat back in the chair breathing hard, she quickly brushed a tear away, "Its so stupid, its my fault really." She let out a breath and brushed away another tear. "Sawyer- James Ford, he- well on New Years, his girlfriend well, she kissed me and he saw." Maia bowed her head ashamed to look at Sara. "He got mad at me, because I let and he- he hit me." Maia ended in a whisper. "I- I didn't know who else to tell Lana told me to go to the police but I-"

"Sawyer hit you," she repeats in a low voice, fury beneath it. "Son of a bitch!"

She places a hand on Maia's shoulder. "I want you to go to the principal and report it. There may not be anything that can be done at this date, but if he bothers you again, a report will be on file."

Maia's eyes were wide with fear, she shook her head "No-no Sara I- I can't. What if he- I- what if he hits me again." Maia started to cry harder "Paige healed me but Sara he almost broke my jaw. I- I can't" Maia's voice edged on panic.

"Shhhh, calm down honey, it's all right," she says softly, soothingly, giving her a gentle hug.

"If you do not report it, he will think there were no consequences to his actions. I, personally, cannot do anything to him without risking repercussions. You need to speak to the principal, and the police if necessary, dear. And if he were stupid enough to go after you, I can guarantee he wouldn't get very far."

Maia stayed in Sara's embrace, closing her eyes, her breathing slowing down. She nodded against Sara's shoulder, "Paige is going to be so mad at me." Maia's heart was breaking, she was angry at what Sawyer had done, angry that he made her afraid and scared she was going to lose her best friend over all of this. "I will though, if thats what you think I-I should do." She added in a whisper.

"Paige will understand," she says softly.

"Maia, ultimately it is your decision. I do think you should report it. I can't make you, though."

Maia nodded and slid out of Sara's arms, crossing her arms over her chest she nodded. Maia whispered "I had to tell someone that I trusted." Maia looked up at her now "And I trust you more then anyone at this school."

"I appreciate that, Maia. I truly do."

Sawyer is officially on Sara's shit list and he won't be getting off any time soon. No one hurts a woman, or one of her friends. And he has done both.

"May I confide this in Gil as well? I think he has Sawyer in one of his classes. He can keep an eye on him."

Maia looked around the office nervously unsure. Finally she nodded "I don't want him expelled Sara. I want to think about this you know. Right now, right now I just I need to think ok."

((OOC: Please if she confides to Gil please make it NFB and do not report what happened to the pricipal etc.. as this is part of a plot and it was IC for Maia to come to Sara with it.))

[ooc: Not a problem. And slowtime from now until whenever I get back from a driving lesson. :)]

"Of course."

Maia finally mangaged to give Sara a smile. "Thank you." She kept her arms folded across her chest, she found herself doing that more and more since New Years. She made an effort now everytime she noticed it to stop doing it. "I appreciate it. Your always there when I'm falling into things." She smiled remembering the time after Tara has accused Maia of threatning her, when had gone into the open lab so that Sara could reassure her she was not a bad person.

[[OOC: Oh Phoebe wants to KILL him!!!!! Making paige cry was one thing, but hitting her little sister?! Oh NO!]]

Phoebe smiles and sits in a desk nearby. "I have that Add slip to sign so I can take your forensics class."

[[OOC: *grins* It would be funny to see Sawyer and Phoebe in a fight. :) ]]

((OOC: I'm feeling very loved by my big sis right now. *sends up a hug to Phoebe))

"Of course." Taking the slip, she signs it.

[OOC: Oh, Lana would be right there beside Phoebe!]

"It's what friends are for."

Phoebe is moving in time to the music. "I am so glad that I am going to be able to take your class, Ms. Sidle."

Maia nodded and swallowed hard. "Your right." She whispered, her eyes looking as though she had just realized something. She hugged Sara again and kissed her cheek. "Your really are one of my closest friends." She whispered into her ear before she gave her one last squeezing hug.

Sometimes in order to be a friend, you have to do what a friend doesn't want you to do.

Sara just holds her as needed.

Maia stayed in Sara's arms everything just melted away leaving her , feeling safe, feeling cared for.
