"Okay, today's a free period. Well, sort of free. Discuss your experiments, work on your tasks, get stuff done. Like, say, your make-up homework? The stuff that's due December 13th. I'll be available for questions."

"And guys? Some of you are seriously going to fail this class if you don't get it in gear. Check the approved proposals if you got yours in last week and see if it was added to the list. If not, I need either a proposal or a revision."

"James Sawyer, Bagoas Bontecou? You guys didn't get me anything on your proposal, and you're seriously behind on your final projects. It's a cumulative grade, so you should use this class time wisely. You're both in for another detention this weekend."

Class Notes

The Scientific Method
1. Observation and description of a phenomenon or group of phenomena.
2. Formulation of an hypothesis to explain the phenomena.
3. Use of the hypothesis to predict the existence of other phenomena, or to predict quantitatively the results of new observations.
4. Performance of experimental tests of the predictions by several independent experimenters and properly performed experiments.

Optional Extra Credit
Write a 100 word essay on a famous psychologist or psychiatrist and his or her contribution to the field. If you have done this already as your alternate assignment for the "What I Learned From The Class Project" essay, then write a 100 word essay on a particular field of psychology. Please see me if you have a question about what is or is not acceptable here. You may only do one essay for extra credit, not both.

Please remember that electronic participation counts as extra credit if you were in class that day and participated.

Since Bagoas is rarely here could you consider putting him with Sawyer so he doesn't fail?

Actually, how do you feel about working with Sawyer instead? His partner has rarely showed, and they don't have an experiment planned out. I'll weight things based on who does how much work (okay, it's a game, I'll just keep in mind who did a lot of the prep work).

umm, Sawyer and Jonathan can't work together. It would be grossly OOC. Sawyer beat the crap out of Jonathan and so Jon hates Sawyer and IIRC Sawyer hate Jonathan.

Ah, I hadn't been aware of that. Thanks for letting me know about it. Yeah, let's not go that route with Jonathan.

Also OOC, I have things in mind for the experiment. But I have two worries. One, I don't have time to make a proper web page, the way my character would. Two, I have finals this week. I will give you something meatier, but can I get an ooc extension?

Turns out Crane and Sawyer hate each other? Which I didn't know. But I won't fail Sawyer if he does make an effort at something, even though Bagoas won't be trying (I know he's stated OOC that he won't).

The final everything won't be due 'til the 20th, and I'm aware of your RL issues. *sympathy* So we'll figure something out. You might want to IM Cam and just quick come up with something.

And like I said, don't do a webpage for real. If you want, ask people have their characters roleplay it and then give you fake results.

Yeah they do, but she figured rather than fail they'd just suck it up! Plus Sawyer knows Paige would kick his ass if he did anything to Crane, but I will pass the message on and suggest the essay for her if that's okay? (which I'm hoping you got a notification about)
