Upon entering the Danger ~~Room~~ Shop, you'll find that Mac has set it up to look like an abadoned mine which has recently caved in.

"Today's assignment? Using the elements around you, find a way to escape from the collapsed mine entrance."

Mac pauses a second before saying: "Try not to blow yourself up this time O'Neill."

and because he doesn't have as cool a hairstyle as me.

Sam shot a smirk over in O'Neill's direction. First thing she did was to pull some lint from her pocket and drop it, to see if there was a breeze that would indicate fresh air flow.

Rogue looks around for some leftover dynamite. "See, if Jubes were here, this would be a lot easier," she muttered as she set something up that looks rather dangerous. She could use some help ~~even though her mun isn't getting notifications and has to go to class now~~.

Mac looks over at Rogue's solution. "You might want to be careful there Rogue. The safety protocols are on here, but there are solutions to the problem if you look around."

Mac watches Carter with interest. Purely on a professional level of course. ~~*does not fluff mullet*~~

[OOC: I won't be modding any responses today, so feel free to come up with your own solution.]

*DEATH, remembering that he cannot just walk through the walls, begins to dig himself out with a leftover camp spoon he's found on the floor. DEATH, afterall, is in no hurry.*

Running Study hall today instead.

~~Completely oblivious to the mullet fluffing,~~ Sam watched the lint fall to the ground in a straight line. No breeze. "Shoot."

After some thought, she grabbed one of the pulleys from where it was hanging along the side of the mine shaft. It came with a rope attached. She stood on one end of the rope and pulled up on the other, checking its sturdiness.

Satisfied with the rope, she used a pickaxe and cart rail spike to seat the pulley into the wall. She then looped the other end of the rope around one of the fallen wooden mine supports by the door and tied a series of clove hitches.

She pulled on the loose end of the rope (the one hanging in the pulley), and eventually (after a lot of grunting, groaning, cursing, and sweating) lifted the support out of the way just enough for her to crawl through ~~, making her suddenly thankful she was still tall and scrawny~~.

How was I suppossed to know there was a gas leaak?

"Ummm... The smell?"

"Blow yourself up one time and you never hear the end of it..."

Jack takes a look around to see that the cave is just like it was last time.

"Any way I an get credit for last time? Good credit?"

Bridge does a handstand so he can think of a way to escape.

Having come up with his idea, he then manages to pull something off that by all rights shouldn't have worked.

(ooc: sorry for the really, really lame response. still have six pages to go on my term paper!)

Mac is impressed. "By all rights that shouldn't have worked Bridge, but since it did and no one died I'll call it a valid solution."

"I have allergies. You could've t least given me a canary or something."

Sam rolled her eyes. And she couldn't believe he was trying the allergy thing. Who was allergic to the smell of gas?

Mac sighs.

"Carter? Would you be willing to help this guy through with a solution? I'd rather not blow up the entire classroom."

"Do you really want me to give you credit for blowing yourself up? Because I don't think that's such a wise idea."

The look on Carter's face...well, it's probably best described as disbelief. "Of course, ~~sir~~ Mac."

After Mac'srequest (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/409125.html?thread=19166501#t19166501), Sam sighed and headed over towards O'Neill.

"So, assuming you've forgotten to pack your gas-finding canary, what's next?"

Noticing the look on Carter's face, Mac decides to say something. "Is there a problem Carter? This is one of the jobs of the TA. I can ask Cally to help him if you prefer not to work with him."

Anders hangs around waiting for Cally -- big surprise.

Actually, what is a big surprise is the sudden discovery that he has a mild case of claustrophobia.

Sam shook her head quickly. After the fight with John a few weeks ago, she definitely didn't want to give Mac the impression she couldn't handle the TA position. "No sir, that's fine. We're used to working together."

She'd just make sure to go back to her room and have a large drink and a couple of aspirin after class.

"Anders? You okay?"

"Dark closed spaces," he mutters, sweating a little bit. "Don't think they agree with me too much."
