Journalism Classroom: Yearbook Meeting (8 PM, FHT)
Rory stood at the front of the room, and waited until a fair amount of people arrived before addressing them.
"Okay, guys. Here's the deal. We really don't need to do any collaborative work until next semester, so our big meetings like this will probably continue to be sporadic. However? In your individual divisions, it might be a good idea to periodically meet. So the responsibility to call those meetings falls to the editors I appointed earlier this year."
She pointed to one corner of the room. "Liz and Logan, I want you and the other writers to meet over there and talk for a bit about when you all might meet from now on. Additionally, maybe discuss ideas for student profiles and interviews."
She pointed to the opposite side of the room. "Um...Veronica's not here, so...Evie? You and our other photographers do the same, and maybe talk about photo coverage for classes. Do you think teachers will allow you to step in and photograph them? Brainstorm."
"Sonia? You and your layout minions, up here," Rory said with a grin, pointing to the desks in front of her. "And same deal on figuring out meetings for the rest of the year. And tonight, I want you guys to talk design. What color scheme were you thinking of using, if any? Any calligraphy or fonts you want, that kind of thing."
"I'll be walking around if you need me," Rory added. "Let me know if you come across a problem, or need any sort of consultation. So...have at it. Go wild. And coffee's in the back, by the way."
