Newspaper Crew Meeting: 16:00 FHS-20:00 FHS

Deciding that amusement is the key to staying cheerful amidst the emo-drama storm, Chloe comes into the Journalism classroom wearing her birthday slippers. They're not much, but they're just about the perfect thing for her mood right now.

She sets the desks up, and goes about making sure there's enough coffee just barely stopping herself from writing "Seniors Only" on it.

"Interview people," Jake deadpanned, eyebrow raised. "Chloe has the masterlist. I think. Somewhere."

When he's out of coffee, Jake shuffles over to join her. "Hey, Rory. I have a question."

"Coolness." Jake nods and jumps off the table. "Discuss when and where later? I'm having an out of coffee emergency."

"Anything in particular we need to know about them?" she asked, sitting down to type an email to ABC to see about getting a quick interview with them.

"Shoot. I can't promise an answer, though," Rory replies with a grin.

Veronica waits for Chloe to have a spare minute.

Chloe gasps, feigning horror. "Oh yes, we can definitely discuss the details later. Go, get your coffee before disaster strikes!"

Beka headed over to Phoebe. She didn't look well. Not at all. "Pheebs?"

"Oh my god." Chloe's eyes widen, and she nods. "That is horrible. I'll ask Marty about it, and we can talk later."

Beka saw Angela scowling at her when she walked in. She assumed it had to do with Angelus. For now, she wouldn't make an issue of it. So far, Angela wasn't on the list of people to harass. But Bel would definitely hear that Angela had gone quiet and frowny when she entered the room.

Chloe spots Veronica and beelines over to her, hugging her as soon as she's in physical range. "Hey," she says softly.

Veronica hugs Chloe back, pleased that there is at least one person that doesn't hate her in the room.

"Hey, I think I'm going to have to skip those articles I was planning for a few weeks," she says apologetically. "I somehow don't think I'll be able to get the interviews."

Beka noticed Veronica avoiding her gaze - which was good by her but she didn't necessarily want Veronica to know that. She made several attempts to make eye contact, each time letting more genuine hurt and anger show in her face.

"You don't look well. You really ought to go see Wilson. Let me take you?" She bent her head and whispered to Phoebe, "We should get out of here before one of the hate mob decides to lynch us too."

Beka, because she's watching for these sorts of things, noticed that Rory and Angela weren't talking. If Rory looked her way, she'd see a speculative but warm expression on Beka's face. An invitation to talk if she wanted to.

"I totally understand," Chloe says, sympathy clear in her tone. "How are you doing? Are things...okay staying with Piper and Rogue?"

Phoebe shook her head slowly. "No clinic, soulsister," she said emphatically. "That would upset and worry Cole and there are more imortant things for him to focus on."

She looked confused and looked around the room, then lowered her voice. "Hate mob? These people, mostly, are friends, Beka. The only ones that I know of that hate me are Jake and Krycek. Why would any of them want to hurt us?"

She cleared her throat and spoke in her normal voice. "No clinic, but I'd appreciate help back to my dorm?"

"The Perk sounds perfect," Angela says.

She tucks a strand of hair behind one ear. "I have creative writing until 8:30, but we could either go there later tonight, if they're still open, or first thing tomorrow."

An hour or two after the meeting opens up, D'anna slips in looking for Jake or Chloe, hoping to see if they'd need anything from her this week.

"Okay, I'm doing this extra credits thing for Art... and you're pretty and shiny, so I was hoping I could convince you to pose for me?" Jake grins. "Fully clothed? Like Chloe?"

"It's a date," Angela smiles. "I don't have any classes until journalism."

Beka sighed. "Stubborn witch. I'll take you back to your room, yes. But then you're going to lie down and take it easy. I mean that. Or else clinic." It wasn't a question so she didn't wait for a response.

She put her mouth next to Phoebe's ear. "As for hate mob? Never mind. I'm just being oversensitive."

Louder, she said, "Come on, sister-soul. Let's get you home to Cole."
