201--Speech: Honesty
Using Ethos, Pathos, and Logos, to the best of your abilities, this week's assignment is to compose a speech which is a big huge lie. Really sell me on it. Go for broke. The bigger the better. You may work with a partner for brainstorming. You'll deliver these Thursday.

All right. Since so many of you had Monday-itis, we're doing the same game. Again. Three truths and a lie. Think up three true facts about yourself, the more farfetched the better, and one lie that seems plausible. We'll try to guess it. I'm not playing today, because clearly I know you too well. Those of you who were here yesterday, thank you...you still have to do it again. Go.

My roommate had a girl over the other night and they did absolutely nothing all night long.

We now have a dragon living in the dorms.

I speak five languages.
I don't know how to play poker.

Parker is making faces at her paper. She can't think of any lies she'll enjoy telling at the moment. She looks over at what Lee's working on, and rolls her eyes.

"What's up with you and Anders, anyway?" she mutters, scratching out Life is fair and substituting in Stephen Spielberg is god and then crossing that out too.

So... the question is, were you not born in Colorado or is one of the places you listed a lie? I can totally believe the living-in-Oxford bit. Hey, Teach... if she's listed like four places and only one of them is a lie, isn't that kind of like she made up six facts and one lie?
