Kappa Kappa Gremlin Meeting, After Classes, Monday [ 11/08 ].

Don’t check your calenders. It certainly was Monday, despite the classroom where Kappa Kappa Gremlin typically met looked a bit more like it was set up for the fighting reserves. But. for some odd reason, Zack and Alexander were having a feeling that, perhaps, some focus should be spent on releasing some energy in...alternative ways. Thus, there was a wide assortment of Nerf weapons, from crossbows to swords to little foam dart guns, spread out on one table,while the usual snacks and offerings were available on the other.

Alexander cleared his throat. “Welcome back, guys. I’ve got good news; there will hopefully be no singing today. Instead, Zack and I were thinking we could let out some, er....aggression with some fun harmless weapons. Er. Because they’re fun. And, uh, besides, it might always be good to know how to fight,even with...um,...foam things.”

Naturally, Zack had snatched up the biggest Nerf sword he could find, because some things just never changed, freaky hormonal sex-pollen or no.

“I’m pretty sure you guys aren’t going to be able to hurt one another with these things,” he noted, resting his foamy sword over one shoulder, “but at least try not to put anyone’s eye out with these things, okay? Other than that? Just have fun!”

Yep, just like that. Smack one another with foam, guys.

It was healthy.

Have some snacks. Have some soda. Try not to feel awkward about any compulsions you might have for the guy standing next to you that you never in a million years imagined you might have.

Grab a weapon and start the attack. All in good fun, of course. Try not to channel all that energy into it....They’re foam, sure, but it’s amazing what foam can do if you try hard enough.

The haunted house went...okay. Definitely not okay enough for a spaceship, though! So if there are thoughts for other projects, here’s the place to offer them and discuss.

Neither of whom seem to be feeling too out of sorts today, damn them both.

Who would look totally kickass with a Nerf crossbow, or maybe one of those Nerf rapid-fire sub-machine gun thingies.

Your libidos might be blowing up, but at least with OOC, the world will not.

It was true; Alexander was slightly more fidgety than usual, but the difference was actually quite minute. That w as the sort of thing that could happen when even part of the reason you were sent away for school was an unresolved sexual tension.

Peter just sort of stared, half amused. Yes, he was feeling the effects of the island's peculiarities this week too, but that didn't stop him from declaring "You guys do know how incredibly symbolic it is having us beat each other with foam phalluses, right?" Sure, there were guns too, but with nerf... still pretty phallic.

Alexander was just going to look at Peter worriedly for a moment before closing his eyes and rubbing his forehead a little as if to erase the mental image from his brain altogether.

"Maybe you'd better just stick to the gun, Peter," he offered.

Blackagar was doing just fine, thank you. Just because he'd never had sex and there had been recent kissing sessions with someone he was possibly in ~~luuuurve~~ love with for, like, ever.

...he was just going to meditate over here.

As Alexander was trying to focus on things that weren't related to his unfindable girlfriend in a land that might never exist, he tried to consider other projects that might earn the club some money. A thought eventually did spark, though he had no idea where it might have actually come from.

"What," he proposed thoughtfully, "would you all say to the idea of some sort of date auction?"

Peter chuckled. "And what's next week, oil wrestling?" he joked.

He was insufferable sometimes. And this week was only going to exacerbate that.

Dolf was feeling jittery, and that was a sensation he wasn't really used to. His eyes kept straying in the wrong direction, and he was having trouble concentrating.

He had to be tired still. He threw himself at the caffeinated soda like a man possessed. If he just had enough, he'd be fine until his next nap.

Fraser didn't know how kickass he would look since he didn't even tend to carry a weapon normally but he appreciated the sentiment.

He also appreciated the discomfort most of the frat members were feeling because he was feeling it too and it made his uniform feel a little more constricted than usual.

"Is that a request?" Alexander asked with an arched brow.

"Do you want it to be?" Peter asked, undeterred.

He'd go pretty far for a joke.

Listen, Roy had been sex-deprived basically since arriving on this island. He hadn't noticed anything much in the way of different yet. And he was confident in his heterosexuality ~~and none of these guys were Dick Grayson~~, thank you very much.

Ben's eyebrows quirked up. "The fruit or the activity?"

And was it even possible for Zack to get more bouncy than he already was?

Or more flirty, for that matter?

Goose's Supertrooper senses made it impossible not to detect that something was off but he figured he could just ignore it.

So he was there pretending that there was nothing wrong.

"Unless I'm grossly overestimating the attractiveness of us all as a whole," Alexander said after a moment of staring at Ben, "I think we'll be far more successful with the activity over the fruit..."

"No," Alexander answered that very, very easily. "No, I do not."

Not in this club, anyway. Fighting reserves, yes. Glee club, sure. French club, yes please. Frat? No way, Bishop.

"We could always sell tickets," Peter said. "I'm betting a lot of the girls would pay good money to see it."

Alexander was probably hanging out with the wrong girls; he could only picture any of them buying tickets for the comedic effect.

"...do you suppose so?" he asked, still terribly doubtful. Mostly because he really didn't want to wrestle anyone in oil at all.

Well, Maladicta would be interesting, but it was entirely different that what he felt Peter was going for.

Ben shrugged. "Had to check," he said. "Maybe dates are totally astral where you come from."

"Astral?"

Really, he had to ask.

"Really cool," Ben rephrased.

"Ahhhh," said Alexander, nodding and considering the slang and not really find it to his taste,but that was alright. "I see. Well, they are rather good,but I should like to think we'd be even more appealing."

"Probably," Ben said with a smile. "I'd have to check with my girlfriend, though."

"Oh, yes, of course," Alexander nodded. "That makes sense. But, on the other hand, that could also just mean she'd have to make sure to bid the highest."

Ben's cheeks went pink. "That would be assuming anyone other than Tahiri would be interested..."

It was rare Alexander wasn't the one being teased like this, so Ben would have to forgive him for grinning. "If you didn't think anyone would," he pointed out, "why would you have to ask?"

"Because I don't like to surprise her?" Ben tried, still blushing madly.

"Fair enough," Alexander allowed. "But don't sell yourself too short. You might be surprised."

"I know so," Peter said. "It's the only reason Chippendales is still in business."

"I admit, I don't know what this Chippendales is..."

"Maybe," Ben demurred.

"Only one way to know," said Alexander. "But, yes, check with your girlfriend first; we wouldn't want to upset anyone."

"I haven't seen her all day anyway," Ben said, "and something about today make me really want to. I'll check then."

"Google it sometime," Peter said. "It'll change your life."

"I'm starting to wonder if today has turned into a Let's Talk to Alexander about things he doesn't know day..."

Peter raised an eyebrow. "No one's taught you about Google yet?"

"....no?" said Alexander, cautiously. "I think Claudia has mentioned it, though. Does it have to do with the computer?"
