Boom-De-Yada Science - Danger Shop, Wednesday, Period 1 [Week 7]

The Doctor was not at the Danger Shop door when it opened. The noise from the concert stage in the distance and the crowd of hundreds of thousands across six acres filtered out into the hallway. Nearby was a giant mud pit with people careening into it, playing and rolling around and having fun while the music played.

When class was scheduled to start and the doors closed, that was when the Doctor appeared. He wasn't in his usual attire, so it was understandable if some of the students didn't notice him at first. He was hard to miss when he came up to them wearing only shorts and covered from head to toe in mud. "There you all are!" he said, arms spread wide to welcome them. He was obviously pleased to see everyone. "There are two things on this planet that are in abundance and rightly so: music and mud. Marvellous things, and humans are obsessed with both. That's a generalisation. But everyone should love music and mud! This is Woodstock, a concert and festival held in New York in 1969. Were it the real Woodstock, I would be around here somewhere several times over. Time travel is dangerous and you should never show up the same place twice or more in your own personal timeline, unless it's for a really good concert.

But I'm getting off track. I do that. On track. Music and mud, two things that you'll have a better understanding of through experience rather than listening to me. Books on both are in the library if you're interested in their scientific value, but today we're focusing on the cultural experience. I'll be in the mud pit if you need me!"

And with that, the Doctor was off to leap into the mud pit again.

Oddly enough, a grumpy looking blonde dressed from head to toe in skin-tight red leather kind of stood out in a crowd of hippies.

Cara eyed the flower children suspiciously, they reminded her vaguely of the Minders.

The music wasn't entirely bad though, even though (or possibly because) it sounded quite different to what she was used to.

Bobby was torn between staring at the mud with glee and wondering how he was going to get all that mud off before next class.

He wanted to get muddy, but... hm.

"Why do I have a feeling my dad is probably somewhere around here?" Peter declared out loud, feeling a little odd for thinking it. Though it did seem very possible.

Three days of peace and music? Of course Raven was delighted to explore. She avoided the mud as best she could, but she was enjoying speaking to the attendees about their views on peace and love.

Hinata was a bit... well, it sounded quite interesting, but the crowd was rather intimidating and even if it wasn't real...

She was going to drift around the outskirts of the area, avoiding the mud cautiously.

Christian ended up deep in conversation with some of the flower children, grooving along to the music as they talked about life, the universe and everything.

He was chuffed to be called "righteous."

"It is," Raven agreed, giving Jaime a smile. "But the music is wonderful, is it not? And the people are so excited to be here." Even if they were only simulations.

"I am still learning about different types of music," Raven said. "I like anything that is filled with emotion, especially if it is positive."
