"Hey guys, thanks for signing up. I know you all from classes and around the school, but if you don't know each other, say hi and introduce yourself if you want. We're pretty much here to practice and learn climbing and jumping in an urban environment. A lot of people in this time period do it for fun and they call it Parkour. I learned growing up because it was what we had to do to get around. There's not much need for it here, but I want to keep up with it anyway. All the buildings on this side of the street are empty, so I thought we could start here." He hadn't asked anyone permission to use the area. The thought had never occurred to him. "We can use the ladders out the back to get up to the roof but if anyone wants to try another way to get up, do it. We can do this on our own or together, practice what we know or learn from each other. Whatever comes naturally. If you've never done this kind of thing before, the best way to learn is to try it. If you need anything though, ask. We can help each other out."

Leaping or about to!

The club consists of Prince Alexander, Kurt Wagner, Bruce Wayne, Roy Harper, Cara, Andros and Kyle Reese. Good little group!

"Oh yeah," Kyle added, "Mr. Bond's our faculty adviser. He can probably teach us some stuff too and he'll be in and out to check on us since this is a school thing."

Bond was just going to assume that Kyle had permission to be up here, that way lay plausible deniability all around if anyone asked.

Cara ~~leaping in front of weapons totally counts~~

Cara figured she could climb the wall without much difficulty, but decided to climb the ladder today. There'd always be another wall, but no guarantees on ladders.

George Cooper

"Ladders," George said, shaking his head sadly. "What are th'children gettin' up to these days that they're needin' ladders."

Ladders were all well and good in their place, but as far as George was concerned, it was way more fun not to use them.

"Have you seen the shoes Cara's wearing? She needs the ladder," Kyle replied quiet enough that Cara shouldn't have been able to hear him. "You hear to watch or join in?" He may have been hassling George about it since he was a no-show at the club fair.

George couldn't help checking out Cara's shoes - and the rest of her because seriously. "Figured I better be joinin' in," he said, adding in a deadpan. "Gotta be makin' sure these lads and lasses don't pick up any bad habits."

"You think I'd let them learn any bad habits?" Yes. Yes he would, because Kyle's style was full of terrible habits.

Kyle was itching to get climbing, but he waited around a while to make sure everyone got off to a good start.

George had been at Fandom for over a year. He knew this was probably a terrible idea, but he was far too much of a smart ass to let that bother him. So as Cara was climbing the ladder, he popped his head over the side. "Want a hand up, lass?"

"Aye," he agreed sadly, shaking his head. "Don' think ye could be helpin' it. Don' worry, I'll be here t'help."

Jackass.

The look Cara gave him as she finished climbing over the side suggested that repeating the offer would lead to Aly having a different father in his timeline (not that Cara was actually aware of this particular facet of Fandom weirdness). "Only if I get to keep it afterwards."

"Why? Got a collection y'll be wishin' t'add to?" he asked, grinning at the response.

"Hooray," Kyle said in a flat tone. He could do deadpan too, having learned from the best. "We're all saved." In an instant, he was back to his normal tone. "Want to teach me how to properly jump off this roof later?"

"I can always start one." This was a joke. Mord'Sith collected weapons, not bodyparts. "I'd even let you pick which hand you kept."

"Properly like yer not breakin' somethin' or properly like y'll keep runnin' away from th'dogs?" George checked. He knew Kyle could do the first - well, and the second too, really.

George pretended to stay serious as he studied his hands. "Nah, 'M needin' both of 'em t'keep me day job. Sorry, can't be helpin' ye wit' that."

"Oh, I'd hate to interfere with an honest businessman and his work." Why Cara, it was almost as if you didn't believe George was an honest businessman.

"Both." It was perhaps an excuse to hang out.

He couldn't help an amused smile at her tone. "I knew th'first time I did see ye that yer a kind an' gentle lass."

Now he was just baiting her.
