Loki was leaning against the wall when the students eventually wandered into the Danger Shop. Once they'd taken their seats and gotten settled, Loki started talking.

"So, that was some fucking weekend, wasn't it?" Never mind that he'd spent four fucking days in some fucking void and then had to explain that to Metatron who'd just laugh. "I had something else planned for today but who wants to think about good guys and bad guys, after that? I sure as fucking hell don't."

Seriously. A fucking void. He was a goddamn angel, that wasn't supposed to happen to him.

"So, we were going to talk about heroes and villains in politics and that's just enough to give you a giant fucking headache. So, today you're going to the fucking mall. And not just any mall, you're going to Mall of Fucking America. Have fun. Don't ever say I never did anything for you."

With that, the sim kicked in and the students were free to enjoy.

Loki would just be cruel if he tried to make you guys talk about politics today. Also, I'm in training for a good portion of the day so a big class discussion would have been difficult.

Raven was still shaken by the events of the prior night, so it was good to do something mindless, like shop. Except there was no Hot Topic. Sad.

Jonothon considered riding the rollercoaster, but he had a goldfish with him because he didn't want to risk his girlfriend waking up and eating his Home Economics assignment.

Goldfish and roller coasters probably didn't mesh all that well.

There were not words for how thankful Jono was that this wasn't actually the second-largest mall in North America. The Danger Shop was a beautiful thing, this way.

It let him pretend to be a social creature while completely avoiding the massive crowds of people that such a place tended to attract. While carting a goldfish around and perusing the different music stores that the place had to offer.

He was kind of getting attached to little Hendrix.

Rosalind sighed and prepared herself for an hour of... boredom.

She would have preferred the usual discussion of politics.

Rosalind was special that way.

Clearly, if she had an hour of boredom to waste, she had to harass someone whom she'd not seen yet.

"You take your fish shopping?" Oh so dry and skeptical.

Run through the Rosalind-to-English translator it approximated: Hello Jono, how are you?

//No, I take my fish to class. And only on days when I'm given to believe that my girlfriend might eat my Home Ec assignment.//

That sort of translated to, 'I'm upright and coming to classes, and also, my girlfriend is a cat.'

"Assuming that Didi does not, in fact, usually have a taste for..."

... raw, squirming fish. Ew.

Rosalind carried on, after giving the fish a look. "A cat, I assume?"

//A cat,// Jono confirmed. //She showed up during my shift at th'Groovy Tunes, yesterday, and made like she owned the place. Which, I suppose, as the manager's girlfriend, she more or less does...//

And as a cat, as well. It was well-known fact that cats owned everything.

//She's rather adorable, actually.//

"I should think you're hopelessly biased in that regard," Rosalind said dryly. "What were you planning on looking at here?"

Because, congratulations Jono, you had snarky company now.

It would be a fairly happy class for her.

He was completely fine with wandering aimlessly today, yes.

//I haven't been to a mall in quite some time.//

Rosalind considered that, and him, with a sideways glance.

“I can imagine,” she said, eventually. “This must be an odd experience, then?”

Jono shrugged a little. Hendrix braced himself as much as fishily possible for the inevitable sloshing about that came with the gesture.

//More like getting back on a bicycle,// Jono admitted. //Though I have to admit, I'm thankful that this isn't exactly th'real thing.//

He was still too tired after the weekend to be able to deal with the real thing. Not that he was going to let that show if it killed him.
