Applied Dadaism, Wednesday, period 2

Artie was seated on thin air at a folding card table when the students arrived. Once they all were gathered, he gestured for them to sit down at any of the other tables set up (they, at least, had actual chairs).

"Welcome back, students! I hope you all have had a pipe weekend! I know I have!"

Each table held a fairly impressive pile of cards. Artie picked up a handful from his. "Today, we will play poker! But not just any poker, oh no. Any hand can win, as long as you can tell us why. Be creative! If you have three clubs, maybe they can bludgeon your opponents' three kings! It's up to you.

"Homework! Pick one day this week. You will spend that day being silly, in everything you do. Perhaps spend the whole day saying nothing but the word 'dreeble'. Perhaps battle an evil bowling ball. Make people ask you what you are doing! Make them think you are weird. Don't tell them; just let them wonder! Next week, you will tell us about your day of silliness!"

[ooc: Apologies for the lateness. I . . . actually just woke up. OCD on its way. is up. Go fish!]

Jonas grabbed a stack of cards, not knowing the real difference between some of them and tried to think of something good and powerful that his cards could do.

In the end, he decided the business cards would be powerful if they had a lot of letters on then and weak if they didn't. The more powerful, the easier it was to beat them. He had several hearts mixed in with the business cards and decided they were immortal unless they got stabbed by a diamond and popped.

Hayley was also there, liking the idea of poker where she couldn't lose.

"I play Mr. Freezee!" Dandelion said tossing down an ID card. "He freezes all your cards in your hand! I win!"

Hayley sat down, looking at her hand of Magic cards.

"Mox Emerald? What the heck is that supposed to mean?"

She may have gotten distracted from the purpose of the class.

Ooh! Two Valentine cards! They won with the power of love! He laid them down along with the Jack of Spades. Who had saved the world. With love.

Then the Ohio State Driver's Liscence for one Cooper C. Cooper brought him up short. "Uh oh."

"YOU'RE RICH!" Dandelion shouted as she threw her cards in the air. "YAY! BUY ME A CAR!"

Squall shunned Artie's cards and instead pulled his Triple Triad deck out of his pocket and started playing against himself.
