Once she'd set out snacks and drinks for everyone, Ziva sat down with a small stack of books to resume studying for her citizenship exam. Her choice of activity had everything to do with how quickly the date of her exam was approaching, and nothing at all to do with staying off of the computer to prevent the temptation to e-mail Abby and tell her about Tama. Of course.

Ziva still didn't understand why there were so many laws covering the exact same topics, but she was still going to do her best to learn the important ones.

Ziva couldn't resist the need to check her e-mail, but she didn't send any messages, to Abby or to Gibbs, for that matter. She still wasn't sure what to say to him.

The study hall was open for lunch, if anyone wanted to eat and study at the same time.

Ziva was off the computer, and back to reading the same four pages over and over again. It counted as studying, really.

Ziva took some time to clean up before getting back to actual reading.

Jack was in study hall before his third period class, thumbing through a chemistry textbook meant for children far younger than himself.

A vague misty haze hung around him, as if his world was considering the possibility of rain, opting against it, and still lacking the energy to bring forth the sun.
