Drake had on extremely tight leather pants for today's class. They were so tight you could tell what religion he was, if demons had religion. When the class had settled in, he snapped his fingers to start some clips rolling.

"Today we're going to talk about the Power of Luuuuuuuuurve," Drake began. "In the movie Krull, the evil Beast with a capital B and his equally evil army invade the planet Krull. Two rival kingdoms decided to form an alliance by marrying their children in the hopes that their combined forces can defeat the Beast. Fortunately, Prince Colwyn and Princess Lyssa seem down with idea, which is good because arranged marriages can be so awkward. Anyway, during the wedding ceremony, the Beast attacks, kills lots of people, and kidnaps Lyssa.

"Of course, Colywn wasn't going to stand for that, so he gathers up the usual band of misfits and hunts down the Beast. There's fighting and people dying and Colwyn finds Lyssa. He fights the Beast but isn't having much luck. ~~Xena would totally do a better job with that Glaive.~~ Lyssa comes to the realization that the power of their Luuuuuuuuurve can destroy the Beast, and she starts to finish the interrupted marriage ceremony. So they say their vows and Colwyn destroys the Beast and they all escape the Beast's fortress and live happily ever after."

"So what do you think?" Drake finished. "Can love defeat evil? Or is that just a fantasy?"

Chloe gave this a lot of thought, but in the end, she just wasn't sure if it was possible or not to defeat something with just love. Weapons and and magic seemed to help a lot.

"I think it's possible that it can help defeat evil," she finally said. "But I also think you need other back up on a fight."

Man, I love Krull so much. More than is warrented, probably.

You know what would make floralgeddon better? Some floral hex.

Krull is love. And I flail with glee when you get the SURPRISE Battlestar Galactica set popping up in the end.

Drake nodded. "Unless love is going to provide you with a magic weapon, you definitely need some sort of backup. Even Colwyn did here."

Chloe nodded. "I think that the idea that love can defeat everything is a great thing to believe in ... as long as you realize that you need some kind of back-up plan, too." She gave Drake a shy smile. "Believing in something like that might also give you the strength you need to win the fight."

Kennedy ~~who should've uploaded that other icon from the end of Chosen, dammit~~

Yeah, I watched "To Helicon and Back" again last night. OMG THAT EPISODE.

Oh, gross, Drake. Were the pants necessary? Seriously? It wasn't that Kennedy had a leather-pants problem, but some things, like guys in them, she really didn't want to see.

So one of the TAs would just be over here, half nodding off.

And coincidentally, "I Kissed a Girl and I Liked It" just started on Pandora. I hate that that song is so catchy because the lyrics suck.

I've heard half of that song. Once. I want those two minutes of my life back.

"Sure," Didi said. "If love gives you the strength of will to win the fight. I don't think love means you always win."

"Maybe," Kennedy said dubiously. "I don't know. It makes a good story, anyway, but if it could? Seems like the world would be a lot less of a screwed up place."

She might be thinking on too big a scale here.
