The sun might have risen, but it was both early and cold enough that Bond's undisguised cheerfulness as he waited on the steps of the school for his class to finish assembling did not bode well for them.

"Good morning," he began, with a smile that was in no way predatory. "I'm Professor Bond, and this is Outdoor Fitness and Strategy. Due to the fact this is the first class of the year, we'll be going relatively easy today, with introductions and a couple of fitness tests so you'll each have a baseline to compare improvements against at semester's end."

"A few more things before we get started. Firstly, Kyle and Rose are your TAs," he said gesturing to them ~~assuming they were around~~. "You may approach them as you would me, and in the case of my absence they have comparable authority to my own. Secondly, while you don't have to wear the eyesores masquerading as uniforms that Professor Dex is so very fond of in this class, I would advise that you wear durable, comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty as well as suitable footwear. In the case that an activity needs specialised clothing and equipment, it will be provided for you."

Bond grinned again. "Finally, and most importantly, before we start with our introductions, we're going to warm up so we don't sprain something. Three laps around the school building, gentle jog. Four if you think you're up for it."

Just remember that Bond is counting.

After the last student finished their warm up, Bond pointed to a random student. "Name, year, interesting fact about yourself, and why you're taking the class," he said.

You can keep moving to stay warm so long as you pay attention to your classmates.

The only people who'll know your results for these are you and Bond, so don't hurt yourself trying to beat each other.

You have two minutes per exercise to complete as many crunches, push ups, and pull-ups as you are comfortably able to.

Because Bond is less cruel than you might think, there are mats set out on the ground for the crunches and push ups, as well as gloves for the pull-up bar so you're not handling cold metal in your bare hands.

Sit and Reach, Trunk Rotation, and Groin Flexibility.

Also see if you can link your arms diagonally behind your back.

Out the North Gate, along Serendipity Place, looping up Galactica Drive and back in the North Gate again.

Jog at a steady pace, try to keep to a fast walk at a minimum, and watch out for pedestrians and stray rickshaws.

Despite demonstrating all these exercises, he's not even out of breath the bastard.

Given the weather conditions, nekkid Bond is unlikely to make an appearance outside of OOC threads for quite some time.

Jonas

For Jonas, this was a completely different type of education. While the Community had promoted good health and fitness, it hadn't ever been at the forefront of their educational hierarchy.

Still, Jonas found he wanted to stretch his mind and body so he listened closely to Professor Bond while he waited to do his laps. He did some minimal stretching, making sure he wouldn't hurt himself while he listened.

While Jonas knew this class would progress in difficulty, straight running wasn't too hard. He'd done this sort of thing with Asher even if they hadn't been neat laps. Spending free time chasing each other had always been fun and it was paying off here.

"Hello. I'm Jonas and I'm a junior," he said, getting through those first two facts easy enough. They weren't disputable and he'd drilled them into his head as soon as he could. "I suppose an interesting fact about myself would be that this past Christmas was the first one I've ever experienced. I didn't even know what it was before that."

Jonas knew that could easily be attributed to being from one of the other worlds that his classmates came from so it was both true and easily hid his true past.

"And I'm taking this class because I've never taken a class focused on physical education before and from what I've heard about this island, it seems like it might be helpful."

While the running hadn't been so bad, these challenges daunted Jonas ever so slightly. He managed a respectable amount of crunches but faltered a little on the push ups. His arms were getting a little tired and, thin frame or not, he still felt it.

Unfortunately, he picked the pull ups last and with his arms already tiring, he managed a scant few pull ups before knowing he could do no more despite continued attempts.

Hopefully this class would help smooth this little bump in the road. Jonas hadn't realized he was that out of shape.

Jonas thin and lanky so he was naturally flexible and his arms thanked him for not abusing them for a few moments. The sit and reach and trunk rotation proved his better tests, showing off the flexibility he had gained over the years.

The groin flexibility test was a little more difficult as Jonas had long legs and a lot of clumsiness. Still, he managed a respectable showing once again.

After the earlier run and the fitness tests, Jonas was showing some weariness. This only made it worse. Still, he wasn't about to give up and started running.

It was a good opportunity to see parts of the town he hadn't managed to yet even if he was feeling the exhaustion leaking into his legs now. He ran most of the way though, only walking when he absolutely had to.

Rose wasn't stretching actually. She'd pretty much come straight from Dimitri's training and running all over the damn island. This four laps wasn't much.

And it seemed like there'd be less flailing than in Sex Ed. That was sad.

Lois Lane

"That's going EASY?!?!?"

This Bond guy was almost as crazy as Wolverine.

Kurt did his three laps around the building and then collapsed on the ground. "Oh, this is gonna suck so hard..."

Rose was there and kinda amused she was.

Also she was eyeing her fellow TA with a bit of a frown. Tiny wasn't supposed to grow morw kthx.
