College Fair - The Gym - After Classes

Sweets had skipped out on office hours today to set up things in the gym for the college fair. Each school in attendance had a booth and there was also a refreshment area set up.

And, of course, Sweets had a table with information on SAT prep, tips for writing admissions essays and financial aid paperwork.

Randolph Carter sat at a booth with the usual brochures and pictures of the campus arranged strategically around. For the most part it seemed to be your typical New England campus. Picturesque, pretty, and yet some people might describe the area as, somehow spooky.

Carter wasn't one of them. No he'd seen spooky and it wasn't Miskatonic. Well maybe the restricted section of the library.

One of the brochures on more prominent display talked about the University's Metaphysics and Occult studies program.

The main attraction of the S.H.I.T. booth appeared to be a giant white-board, covered with colorful dry erase marker in various handwriting, listing what sounded vaguely like they might be class names. Things like "Taking a Walk and Thinking About Stuff" and "Rock Your Faces Off" and "Foreign Affairs: Hooking Up Overseas". The brochures were filled with pictures of a small, but well kept campus framed on one side by a large pool and on the other by what appeared to be a skateboard ramp. It bore the school colors, blue and brown, and a picture of the mascot, the sandwich.

And last but not least, there was the guy who looked to be not much older than the students at Fandom itself, wearing a cheap blazer and a name tag that identified him as Bartleby Gaines, founder and president of South Harmon.

This, clearly, was no ordinary school.

This was no ordinary booth (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Rellyjean/npcs/talking.jpg). This was a booth with a desk in it, and ... okay, that much was pretty ordinary. Look, it was a booth, there wasn't a whole lot to make it awesome.

The ??person?? at the desk was short, and hadn't bothered wearing a shirt to day. He did have a wrestling mask over his face, and boxing gloves. Although, as he would tell you himself, those were his real actual face and hands. You lazy crap-for-crap.

There was a name-plate indicating that this person was "Princpal Strong Bad" -- and the 'Princpal' had yet to realize the spelling error. Which was surprising, given the high academic level of Crazy-Go-Nuts University. Why, just look at the hand-written diploma (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Rellyjean/npcs/diploma.jpg), on notebook paper! That totally said it was a diploma. How much more legit could you get?

There was even, like, a logo (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Rellyjean/npcs/logo.jpg), and some ball caps (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Rellyjean/npcs/ballcap2.jpg) that had Strong Bad's face on them. Those were pretty sweet. Because this was a totally real university.

People should stop by, so that Strong Bad could make fun of them.

"What is college?" Azula asked.
