It would. I'm surprised you bothered to do the extra reading. The Tuatha de Danaan feature largely in several of the tales. They weren't wiped out by the Sons of Mil, but they retreated into their sid. Almost every story we'll read will involve them coming out and meddling with the mortals.

And mythology is simply history seen through the lense of legend. I, you will remember, am mythological in this time and place.
