Marshall had been slightly disappointed that he didn't have two kids named Totally and Freaking Awesome show up this weekend but he didn't let it show when he held class on Tuesday.

"Hey, guys. Sorry about last week. Gremlins," Marshall said, shrugging. "They do crazy things to you."

"Um, so, our final is coming up and, I'm sorry to say this, I'm gonna give you an actual assignment. Crazy, right?" Marshall said, snickering. "Don't worry it's not going to be difficult. All I want you to do is bring in your favorite food. You can make it yourself or buy it, I don't care which. Just bring enough of it in to share with the class and then say a few words about why it's awesome. That's it."

Yeah, like Marshall was going to give a tough final. Grading papers would be boring.

"As for today I figure you guys could use an easy class after dealing with kids all weekend so I decided to share my two favorite foods with you: pie and cheeseburgers," he said. "I know we've already done it before but they're my favorite foods and I'm not about to lie to you just to give the class some variety."

Also he really wanted to eat more pie.

"So there's all sorts of ~~moddable~~ pies and burgers on the buffet table," Marshall said, pointing. "Dig in and think about what food you want to bring in for the final. For the record, I wouldn't say no to more pie."

He loved pie.

Ned bypassed the burgers. They could be dessert. Pie was the main event.

Yeah. Even pie wasn't going to do it for Peyton. She'd spent most of the night, sitting in the chair by the window in the dark just staring out into the night.

Jen had, a while ago, come to the conclusion that paying attention to the lecture in this class wasn't necessary. She paid attention anyway, though she was wishing the kids could have stuck around another day so Blake could have been here for this.

Aw. She missed the little guys.

Jen wasn't pigging out. She was eating a little more than usual, though, and she'd do the workout to make up for it, but . . . well, look, the boys weren't here to enjoy it, okay?

Sam took a burger just to see if Dean's head would explode over him not taking any of the pie.

Priestly grabbed the tallest cheeseburger he could find.

He was personally of the opinion that the best part of a burger was what you put on top of it.

Plus? Her middle name was Oregano. Granted it was Oregano because Francine still didn't know it should have been Weed, but it still counts as food-related.

As does Francine slowly eating her way through a quarter of a blueberry pie and feeling sad that Brownie and Artie weren't still here to share it with.

Pie good. Francine loved pie. So why did she find herself jonesing for a bag of crumbled up Keeblers instead?

Dean couldn't quite work up his usual excitement at the mention of pie. Pie was awesome, yes, but Dean couldn't stop thinking about how his kids would have loved this class in particular too.

Yeah, feeling a little bittersweet or not, Dean went straight for the pie. It was his duty, he felt, to eat enough pie for the Winchesters who weren't there too.

Even if pie wasn't her favourite, Momoko was glad that ~~class~~ Professor Eriksen was back to normal. It looked like she wouldn't be needing the extra candy bar she'd slid into her pocket this morning.

Momoko amazingly enough went for a burger first, but did admire the pie selection before finding a seat. It was easier to eat a burger and think about the assignment than it was a slice of pie.
