Tyler hadn't ever talked to Jean-Paul before, but he'd seen him at staff meetings enough to know whose brains he'd eaten. He stopped by the classroom after the session out of mixed shame and morbid curiosity.

"Hi."

And he stopped there. Sorry I bit you didn't exactly trip off the tongue.

"No," Jean-Paul said once he'd placed the man.

"No what?" Tyler asked. A punch to the jaw, he could have dome something with.

"No," Jean-Paul said. "We are not talking about it, because I refuse to accept that I was undead again."

Tyler waited just a beat before deciding that worked for him.

"Okay. Just -- thought I should check in. And it was my second time too," he said. "I was a vampire couple months back."

It was odd how being a zombie made Louis, in all of his 'so emo Tyler wanted to beat himself up over it' glory, seem like the fun choice.

"I can go."

"Vampires do not count. They still think."

Jean-Paul realized he was being a bitch. He just wasn't very good at caring. "If you like."

"Felt pretty undead to me, but oh, God, he thought. He thought himself miserable then thought some more about how miserable he was."

Annnnnd maybe Louis wasn't the fun choice.

Tyler was going, though. He had just wanted to see if Jean-Paul was all right, and he seemed to be well enough not to want to stand around discussing this.

Which worked for Tyler, anyhow.

"... I'll see you."

Jean-Paul shuddered at the thought of emo. "At the faculty meeting, perhaps," he agreed.
