So You Want to Make a TV Show- 2nd Period- Class #11

Dana smiled as the bell rang and she closed the door today. "You have no idea how glad I am to have you all in class and find out nothing happened over the weekend. No one was flying around, no one was five... It's refreshing, you know?" No, she didn't mean that. She could care less about her students' love lives or anything but hearing embarrassing stuff like that was totally her entertainment.

"Anyway, today we're going to be working on editing. Over the last couple weeks we've been gathering footage, and today you're going to learn how to put it all together." She gave a quick rundown of how the equipment worked ~~despite the lack of Wiki page, damn you Wiki!~~, and said, "You're going to be working with the footage you shot the other week and your screen tests, seeing what you can do with it. I'm not asking for it to be perfect, I'm just pretty much asking if you can splice together two things to make one thing, and I'll smile at you later if you do so and make it make sense."

Including the stuff about the equipment, which hopefully did not put you to sleep too bad.

Talk or whatever as you put things together with the handwavy equipment.

Omg so far today I've left my alarm going off at 4 am till my roommate got annoyed while I was in the shower I hit my head in, and then I realized I lost the class I wrote last night because I forgot to save at reboot.

THAT IS OKAY. Today can suck a lot, because I will take tomorrow as KARMIC PAYBACK and it will be BEAUTIFUL.

The lecture wasn't too boring but that was mostly because Hannibal started daydreaming halfway through.

Hannibal got his footage together and wondered just how weirdly he could edit things together. He liked easygoing assignments like this.

I am ready to forgive a lot today as long as it ENDS AND I GET TOMORROW.

Claire Fisher

Claire was interested in the equipment; she didn't think she wanted to make films, but it was still good to know. Her notes were much more careful than they normally were.

Claire hummed to herself under her breath as she cut her ~~totally handwavy~~ footage together into a montage scored to the soundtrack from Elegy for a Wish.

Really, it was impossible to work on editing footage like Turtle's without being reduced to a mess of giggles throughout the whole thing. Steeling herself, though, Turtle tried to set herself up for the (potentially doomed) task of editing Jeff's ranting into something that actually made logical sense.

Jack Burton

Jack took notes the best he could; he'd have to figure it out by actually doing it.

Jack took his ~~handwavey~~ Photo Hut footage and his ~~handwavey~~ screen test footage, and tried to make them work. It mostly did.

Dinah might have been adding background music to the teal deer footage. Stuff from Strifenova Celestial, maybe, when they all scattered after getting a look at Blind Seer.

Totally legitimate!

Adora worked hard to try to understand everything Dana said about the equipment. She was confident she would get it at some point.

Jenny Sparks

Jenny tried to take notes on how the equipment worked, and wound up scribbling, Zap it if it annoys you in her notebook.
