The Art of Scrap, Friday, Period 4

Oh, class filled with people who numbered one and one alone. After sharing a room with Madrox in Rio, Dean was finding himself actually pretty fond of the lot of you. You were all one of a kind.

… To the best of his knowledge.

And so for that, Dean's students got coffee. That, and because coffee was just sort of a tradition, by this point.

"Hey, guys," Dean greeted, saluting his students with his coffee cup as he leaned back against his desk. "I know it's the end of the week right after spring break, and I could bore you all with some long lecture about art theory today. But, you know what? I'm not in the mood. So, this week, there are mask bases. Yeah, yeah, I bought them new. Not everything we do here is going to be made out of scrap, unless you guys want to wear bleach bottles on your faces or something."

Dean was of the opinion that anything that used to hold bleach could stay nice and far from his eyes, thanks.

"I don't know how many of you guys went on the school trip to Brazil over the break and how many of you opted to stay behind, but for those of you who missed out, one of the really common sights that we'd see for the first few days out there were the costumes. Masks and headdresses, especially, painted up all fancy, with sequins and feathers and, hell, whatever else people felt like sticking on them. Each of you can take a mask, and decorate it however you see fit. Cut them up to make fancy domino masks, leave enough to cover your whole face, chop off the entire right side and haunt the local theater, do whatever. There are all sorts of artsy-crafty things for you guys to use, and paints and glue. When you're done, show them off. Let's see the faces you wear when you're not showing the world your own, here."

Student Council [Friday, Lunchtime]

The usual pizza and sweets from JGOB had been set out as Zoe waited for the students to arrive, and if the desserts were mostly tropical colored, Zoe didn't think she could be blamed for missing Rio.

"Welcome back," she said, smiling once everyone was assembled. "Everything from Valentine's Day was a great success, and we have a quiet few weeks ahead of us. If anyone wants to do something fun, now would be the time for it. Or, we can save our energy for things closer to graduation, whatever you all would prefer."

Library [3/2]

Wesley arrived at the library today to find several dozen children's books about penguins stacked on the front desk.

He managed to shelve them all in their proper places, but one continued to return to the desk until he eventually just read it already. This was less of a hardship than he'd like people to think. There were penguins, all right?

Everyday Skills, Friday 2nd Period

When Oz's class made they way to class today, instead of their teacher, they would have found a disgruntled looking octopus in a fishtank on wheels, with a Speak & Spell attached to the side. Once the class had arrived, a tentacle slipped up and out of the tank to manipulate the Speak & Spell.

<WELL, KIDS, WE WERE GOING TO DO A CLASS ON HOW TO NOT TO FALL FOR SELF-HELP SCAMS BUT ELLIPSIS STUFF HAPPENED>

Pause.

<SO INSTEAD WE'RE GOING TO WATCH A MUSICAL>

<ENJOY>

[Post away!]
