When Words Fail, Music Speaks; Tuesday, Sixth Period [ 02/17 ].

"So," Chad said, leaning (carefully), as usual, on a counter in the music room when everyone got to club, "next week is spring break." This was a fact that Chad had only come to have known yesterday, actually. "So I thought this week we'd take it easy and just hang out and play a little."

As if they ever did anything else.

Hey, that was why Chad liked this club so much. He didn't do high maintenance and deeply involved.

Hang out and chat; Chad brought some soda and cookies and chips.

Including gross shrimp chips. He might have be curious if anyone could like those things.

Grab an instrument, warm up your voice, or just listen. So long as beautiful music is made.

And 'beautiful' is totally in the ear of the beholder, too.

Because Miss Bennet is totes awesome.

It's a good thing that the days I'm most braindead are the days when it's Chad who has club.

Peyton Sawyer

Peyton grabbed a soda and settled in.

Listening was definitely Peyton's thing.

Penelope Wilhern

Penelope helped herself to soda and cookies.

Penelope sat at the piano and again began to play (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMR7oHJoXTA&feature=PlayList&p=DEE657F51BD8565B&playnext=1&index=17), this time something a little less depressing.

As usual, Chad listened for a bit, picking up on the mood and the pace of the piece Penelope had started out, before strumming out a bassline he thought would be a good accompaniment.

She looked over at him, quirking her lips a bit. She wasn't sure, but she hoped this piece wasn't too difficult to work with. She thought it beautiful though so her hope was there.
