Hello, everyone, and welcome to class. I made blueberry muffins, please have one. (Shh...the secret ingredient is nutmeg!)

First off, business. Please pass in your embroidery projects from last class. I am so excited to see what quotes you have chosen for your work!

Lecture on Beginner's Sewing

In class, we will work on our sewing technique. Also, a quick note, please do not try to feed Sarah Cat today. She is apparently on a hunger strike and might try to scratch you if you do so. She is not happy about being punished for trying to make homemade explosives out of the chemicals in her litter box.

For next class, you have two assignments:
1. Write a quick proposal for your semester long project. I know you have picked the area that you will study, now I would like to see what you have become interested in with your preliminary research.
2. Bring any supplies you might need for wigmaking that we do not have in these offices. If you'd like to use yarn, doll hair, or some other material here you are more than welcome, but some of you might have better ideas. That's right, we will be learning to make wigs on Thursday because these last few weeks have been gearing up for your first in-class project of making your own Halloween costume!

Maia comes in, she is not really in the chipper mood that is required for this class but she is happy that her project did not turn out as terrible as her yarn rope had, it was not great and in all honesty it was great for having just been done this morning.



the stiches are big and uneven but Maia did give it a shot. She hands it over to Ms. Van de Kamp and gets a muffin pushing Sara cat out of the way with her foot.

Wednesday places a neatly folded piece of grey linen on Mrs. Van de Kamp's desk. "Mother always insisted on knowing how to use a needle," she said softly, unfolding her project.

Piper arrives in class and turns in her assignment.

Sakura wanders in and hands in her assignment, which doesn't have an image because her mun loses with photoshop then takes a seat. She sort of stares off into space, only have registering the current assignment given. Occasionally she shifts her eyes to look at varying areas of the classroom, but she hardly focuses on anything.

Boone turns in his project, which is a little ocean scene with a verse of Le Mar on it, a song his sister likes t dsing, in French.

[OOC: Unfortunately the mun has no graphics skills, and was ultra busy yesterday downloading anti-virus and such programs onto her breand new computer...Boone will be more visible and active next class period!]
