Student Council Meeting, lunch

Nathan had sandwiches and chips available for lunch.

"Welcome back," he said after they'd all gotten settled in. "Second semester and the second half of your term in office. I thought it'd be a good idea for today's meeting to focus on what you'd like to do before summer break and, time permitting, how you'd like to implement it."

"A Valentine's Day dance?" she suggested. "I mean, okay, that's far away from summer, but it's pretty close to now, so. And the fourteenth even falls on a Saturday this year, which is rather neat and tidy."

Ino nibbled on a sandwich and contemplated the chips for a moment before leaving them.

"Any excuse to have a party is a good one," Lee agreed. "And this gives everyone something to do even if they're not with anyone."

"Exactly," she said, with a nod. "And people get the chance to meet more people too. Which is always a good thing, seriously. As long as we make it clear that the dance is for, you know, everyone I don't think people'll feel weird 'bout going if they don't have anyone to go with."

Turtle always enjoyed filling up on StuCo food, especially since she knew she had some hard work to get to after the meeting.

"At my old school, we always did a flower delivery thing on Valentine's Day," Joan said. "And I think I heard something about that happening here before. I work at the local flower shop, so I'd be happy to organize that if we want to do it."
