Survival Skills [Wednesday, Period Four]

Bond looked exceptionally pleased with himself as his class filed into the simulated office lobby the Danger Shop had set up. Leaning against the empty secretary's station situated next to an impressive looking door, he waited for any straggler to wander in before beginning.

"Flirtation and seduction," he said, idly poking at the stationery on the desk. "You can never really underestimate the value of being able to charm your way out of, or into, a given situation. However, you it's not really a skill you can teach. Sure there's books on body language, and websites full of pick-up lines, but true skill, true charm only comes after years of practice."

He gestured at the door. "Today's assignment lies on the other side of that door," he said. "Your job is go in, and then get out again, preferably intact. The only tools at your disposal are your wit and charm."

Bond vaulted over the desk and settled himself in the chair. "So, who wants to go first?"

Inside the Office - SurSki [Week 12]

[personal profile] notahostage 2008-11-26 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Sitting behind the desk dominating the office was a steel-haired woman who seemed to be paying much more attention to the reports in front of her than anything else, including you.

The complete lack of anyone else in the office made it quite clear that she was in fact the person Bond expected you to charm.

Gavin was there, worrying that his flirting skills were weak at best.

Hinata... was just going to sink very low in her chair and wish the ground would swallow her up.

Triela figured she might as well get this over with, so through the door she went. This seemed... familiar. If you've seen the office of one clandestine government agency leader, you've seen them all.

Though she had to admit that she hadn't yet seen one occupied by someone quite so... formidable.

After a quick look around she settled into an attentive stance and waited. She was good at waiting.

The woman closed the folder in front of her with a snap, and looked up at Triela with an expression that indicated that she was Not At All Impressed. "I expect you know why you're here."

It wasn't a question.

Amber walked in, glanced at the woman, and then looked around. She kind of wondered what she was supposed to do and so took a couple steps forward, cleared her throat, intent on asking the woman what she was supposed to do. But, uh, there was something about her that made her keep her mouth shut. For now.

"Well?" M asked, looking up from her files. "You're not just going to stand there all day, are you?"

Oh, of all the classes to follow last night! Turtle's face probably couldn't be any more red, and she tried to make it look like she was just resting her head in her hands and not just trying to cover it.

M gestured at the papers she was reading. "I hope you have a bloody good explanation for this."
